🤓 Do you know that a Madeleine is a cake, a name but it is also a part of a famous French expression “Pleurer comme une madeleine” which literally means “cry like a madeleine”? 🤓
This week, I would like to introduce you the mini madeleines from the brand St Michel. Madeleines are famous traditional French cakes that were invented in the 18th century! I used to eat those when I was little for the afternoon snack with my grandparents... Now, I love to eat some madeleines with my coffee for breakfast 😋

法國各色甜點當中,最愛瑪德蓮這個1750年誕生的貝形蛋糕。易入口、滋味討喜、具飽實感、普及、無明顯貴賤之分、人人都吃得起!巴黎許多知名甜點店當然也會推出這款平民點心,但不見得比露天市場薄餅攤的成堆零售瑪德蓮或是超市產品來得好吃。過去因為廣告分析工作的關係,嚐遍了巴黎可能找得到的各種瑪德蓮,最好吃的佼佼者的就屬這兩款,而且價格天壤:一是餅乾大廠St Michel推出的Madeleines recette de Commercy,另一是知名歷史品牌À La Cloche Lorraine的Madeleines de Commercy。前者一袋十多顆不到4歐元,後者裝在古樸小橢圓木片盒的單一顆就要5.9歐元!兩者都強調是瑪德蓮發源地Commercy的配方,兩者都非常美味,真的很妙!
