🌏 The United States is committed to reducing carbon emissions to 50-52 percent below 2005 levels by 2030. President Biden has returned the United States to the Paris Climate Agreement, pledged to double the United States’ climate support for developing countries by 2024, and to triple adaptation finance.
Have you ever read “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss? AIT was honored to team up with Minister of Education, Minister of Cultural Affairs and other partners who support reading, STEAM, and bilingual education to participate in the “2020 Taiwan Reading Festival,” recognized as the most Innovative Library Project by the American Library Association (ALA) in 2020.
Last weekend, at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Cultural Affairs Officer Luke Martin attended the opening ceremony and hosted a storytelling session at AIT Mobile American Center to share a classic American story: “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” by Dr. Seuss. With the theme “Igniting the Public’s Passion for Reading”, AIT also set up several experiential and interactive science experiment booths using Microbit and Makey Makey to introduce “Christmas Car Challenge” and “Singing Christmas Song together.” Thanks for everyone for joining with us at Taiwan Reading Festival! Stay tuned to learn more about future AIT American Spaces programs! #Taiwanreadingfestival #AmericanSpaces
