【Technology trends in 2019 that will transform industries】

Voice enable devices and AI were the innovations that everyone embraced over the past two years. In 2019, we see a broader landscape of changes come to the forefront, including foldable devices, robotics, AI software, Quantum computing and etc. Bringing up a few to share in below.

Foldable Devices
Just last month, Samsung announced their foldable phone, Galaxy Fold. Followed up with Huawei unveiled theirs, Huawei Mate X. The first generation of foldable devices hit the market with the price range between USD$2,000-USD$2,500. These new phones are truly luxury not mass market product. However, it’s still exciting to see such radical innovation. Looking like the foldable phone will be the edgy technology status symbol of 2019.

Foveros (The new 3D packaging technology)
Intel announced a new way obtaining improved performance in a smaller package, Foveros. It offers high-performance, high-density and low-power silicon in a tiny package, which allows device manufacturers to build a wide range of products. With this new 3D packaging technology that minimizes the tradeoff between size and power, it would be interesting to see what device manufactures will do with it. This could open up a new wave of wearable technology innovation and enable innovation in enterprise IoT devices.
