This term, I’m working on an art project of mine for GCSE Art & Design. Our keyword for the project is ‘Reflections’, and we started off during the summer holidays by taking a series of photographs based on the theme (some of which I will be sharing with you soon!), and for the past couple of weeks, we’ve been thoroughly delving into the topic and exploring lots of different parts of the project.
For this term, the end result that we’re planning for with this project is an engraving or etching based on our which is essentially a piece of art scratched into something like a metal plate or a woodblock. Ink is rolled onto the piece, then it’s pressed down onto a piece of paper to reveal the finished print.
For now, though, we’re just at the planning and research stage, which starts off with the holy grail of art projects…a mind map ✨ I was busy for hours on end editing, printing out, glueing in and annotating my photographs with my various ideas, thoughts, musings and anything else that might contribute to the project. I even took the liberty of adding some little doodles around the page to make it pop. The aim was really just to make a bustling, buzzing page full of information to make a strong first impression for our portfolio - and to be honest? I think I’ve done quite well on that respect; I’m very proud of the work I’ve put into it!
I was pleased to hear the positive feedback from my art teacher as well; according to her, my use of space, arrangement and bursts of colour made the mind map a great opening piece for the portfolio. Plus, I’m really glad to see that she loved all of my photos! A great start to the project, don’t ya think?
Work in progress,

It was such a great honor to view the art piece created by HK artist, Carla Chan @carlac____ , in collaboration with La Prairie at Art Basel HK. Her time-based video installation, “Space Between the Light Glows” possesses a mystic feel while revealing the majestic beauty of the golden hour, just as it is in the crown of the Alps in Switzerland.

But you know wht
Well that’s me and I’m damn well aware of that lol
Well you see you don’t have to cook like those great chefs to make people happy, right?
Yes I do want to cook like them and dress a dish like a master, make a dish looks like a bloody piece of art that people pause while looking at it
But in general, I also realize that I don’t have to cook that well to make people happy

Reminiscence (End Game Version)
Chapter one | Reminiscence (End Game Version)
Technological advancement vs The emotional regression (3D animator)
Technological advancement is perhaps the reason why people are still able to live amidst the Great Regression. In the AI cities, people distance themselves from each other. The AI started to develop something that the makers did not intend them to learn through self-learning algorithms: emotions.
In the city of Reminiscence, Ms AI was living a plain, repetitive and normal life like the others. One day, she discovered ancient life forms that's so different from her species, organic with blood and tissues. The great shock that led her to the urge for truth was then spreading throughout the city. And slowly day by day, the program that controls the AIs was overwritten and finally erased. At the very moment of losing control, the city started to fall apart and everyone started to gain self-consciousness, and realised that they are only stone-cold robots. Emotions in the AIs eventually started to erode their body to death.
Song:
Reminiscence is interesting in a subtle way. The passing of time, the happening of different events... they afterwards become fragmented memories in us. So can we seize the day when it passes?
【Lyrics】
#She come and gone
Left me alone
Three years no call
They said it was not my fault
I grabbed her wound
My weakness I poured
That’s how we were torn
They said it was not her fault
If I were a tree
Would you be my leaves
What keeps us believe
Our fragile love would always exist
If I were the sea
Would you be my fishes
Tell me you believe
Our fragile love would always exist
*Cry Cry out loud
I don’t need to be the one
who makes you smile
Fly Fly to someone I can’t shout
When you’re about to falls
I will keep my feet on the ground* #
Repeat #
Repeat *

Original message :p
Hey everyone, I have recovered from my left hand injury and can finally play the piano again, just in time for the start of the new summer anime season 2014!
This is also my 100th video upload and in order to celebrate this milestone, I've decided to upload a piano cover of one of the most epic Anime Soundtracks in recent history:
The Main Theme from Sword Art Online - Swordland!
In case you are wondering:
Yes, I have just rewatched SAO a few weeks ago, because I gave it another chance. I dropped this series back then at episode 12 because of... uh... various reasons.
Surprisingly, after finishing SAO, it wasn't as bad as everyone made it to be and to a certain extent, I really enjoyed this series.
However, it is indisputable, that the music in SAO is excellent: both openings (Crossing field and Innocence) are great, powerful songs and the soundtrack is nothing short than amazing, as expected by Kajiura Yuki.
Btw, I didn't recorded this piece in my conservatory as usual since I have returned to my parents home because I have semester break now.
I asked my former piano teacher if I can record at his place, because he owns a Boesendorfer grand piano. He even has his own recording equipment and microphones (though his microphones are not as good as mine...)
A small warning: The transcription is SUPER exhausting for the left hand because of the merciless arpeggios all over the place. Therefore, don't practise this piece too much at once!
Well then, since Sword Art Online Season 2 is airing this season, I'll definitely do a piano cover of either the Opening or the ending song.
