Economic inequality and unfair resource allocation caused by urbanization have become a common phenomenon across the world, especially in the Asia-Pacific region which is made up by many emerging economies. As a result, how to revitalize the local township economy has become vital. It has been theoretically and practically proven that creating local innovation ecosystems can help uncover opportunities for SMEs or start-ups.
With the intention of extending the pass-on influence, we released the "Local Innovation Ecosystem Best Practices", which covers issues such as trends review, model and best practice analyses

【政策簡單說】韓國推動國家代表性品牌「BRAND K」提升中小企業品牌價值👍
為協助具高技術含量、
但缺乏品牌力的中小企業進軍海外市場,
#韓國政府🇰🇷成立一個聯合品牌「BRAND K」
招募具成長潛力與創新的中小企業,
獲選者將獲得政府認證的消費產品標章。
韓國政府亦協助獲選產品得到國內外市場的認可,
藉由推動「韓流」(K-Beauty、K-Pop、K-Food)
促進BRAND K產品拓銷海外市場。
BRAND K目前涵蓋電子📱、美妝保養💄、
日用品🛒、食品🥢等各類消費性產品🎁。
我國持續透過APEC平台協助中小企業
提升品牌價值,
如2019年「APEC城鄉創新國際論壇」中
辦理的最佳案例展示競賽,
由我國新創代表IMPCT Coffee獲得中小企業獎,
成功站上國際舞台✨👏
BRAND K, a joint brand established by Korean government🇰🇷, provides supports for #SMEs which have High-tech content but lack branding power to enter overseas markets. Consumer goods such as electronic products📱, beauty💄, daily necessaries🛒 and food🥢 are targeted in this project. The selected companies will get a government certification label and the access to overseas markets through K-POP marketing strategy.
Meanwhile, we have been assisting #SMEs in developing and enhancing brand value through APEC platform. SMEs and startups are encouraged to participate, exchange idea and experience directly with APEC partners by events. In 2019 APEC Local Innovation Ecosystem Forum in Taipei, IMPACT Coffee won the SMEs Award and represent Taiwan to participate in the event in the Philippines 🇵🇭to demonstrate their brand.✨👏

Under 2 APEC initiatives of #O2O and #Local Innovation Ecosystem we proposed this year, 9 events have been held in Malaysia🇲🇾, Russia🇷🇺, Taipei🇹🇼, Thailand🇹🇭, Chile🇨🇱 and the Philippines🇵🇭 to connect and strengthen the bonds between the Asia-Pacific economies and promote the digital transformation of SMEs and local innovation development.
Not only do we host events, but collect best practices from serial events and release 2 publications of “Guidebook on SME Embracing Digital Transformation” and “APEC Local Innovation Ecosystem Best Practices” as references for #SMEs to digital transformation and local innovation.
