To me, teaching a #yogateachertraining is a very intimate coaching experience. As a yoga teacher training, it is my job to ensure my students to improve on their asana practice and learn how to teach authentically and confidently. But it is my calling and mission to see their growth and empowerment from the inside, to lead them the way to change - not because of me, but the desire for self betterment. This is how sacred a yoga teacher training is to me.
That is why in #empoweredflow teacher training, I insist on a smaller class size (15-20), so I know your names individually.
That is why I ask you to attend classes inside the training period, not in the existing schedule in @yogaroomhk .

【Lesson #4 - Hire slow, fire fast】
Just as excess fat can lead to clogged arteries and increase the probability of heart attacks, non-performing co-founders or team members can slowly (or in some cases quickly) kill your company if left unchecked. In my recent conversation with Hai Nguyen, founder & CEO of Canavi (AW#20), a tech-enabled recruitment platform based out of Vietnam, he talks about how giving a pair of bad apple co-founders free reign almost led to the demise of his first business, while stressing the importance for first-time founders to foster the discipline required to maintain a lean and entrepreneurial team.

My first business was a video production agency. After managing to build it up to a decent size, I realized just how inexperienced I was as a founder and eventually brought on two other co-founders with more industry experience to help the company scale. One came from 6 years of experience at a digital marketing agency and the other was previously a marketing director at a large corporate. Now, the typical startup playbook will have you create an MVP first to test out market demand, firing bullets before cannonballs, if you will. But, right off the bat, my co-founders came in guns blazing, purchasing top of the line equipment, hiring new staff, and generally throwing money at problems whenever they arose.
Eventually 6 months went by, with no new clients and no additional growth in revenue. Existing clients felt underserved, staff were not happy, and I eventually found myself stuck between a rock and a hard place. Since I was new to the whole startup game, I doubted myself and thought just maybe they were right, and that perhaps we just needed a little more time for their plans to pay off. But when you find yourself on the brink of bankruptcy, your perspectives tend to change—you go into survival mode. It was my first time firing anyone, and boy did it impact me. I spent 2 days sulking at home, just sitting with those feelings. But after getting past the trough, I went back to work and set our priorities straight, allowing the company to become profitable again after 2 months and eventually acquired several years later by one of Vietnam’s largest media groups.
“Hire slow, fire fast”—everyone has heard of this concept and understands it thoroughly. But when it comes to implementation, many founders tend to falter. Perhaps due to a naive sense of optimism or a natural aversion to pain, or both, first-time founders often put off these hard conversations a lot longer than they should. Firing a non-performing co-founder or team member won’t kill your company, but indecision will, as startups are forever in a race against time. Maintaining a lean and entrepreneurial organization is paramount in maximizing chances of survival at the early stages, and that entails developing the discipline and foresight to endure short-term pain in service of long-term gain.

➢Ingredients 15cm cake pan
200 g cream cheese
3 egg yolks
Vanilla extract
3 egg whites
60g Erythritol or 45g granulated sugar
160-165℃ 50min baked in hot water
➢1) 1:28
Microwave the cream cheese to soften it and add egg yolks and vanilla.
➢2) 3:00
Add sweetener to the egg whites to make a soft meringue
➢3) 3:34
Add 1) to the meringue and mix it, then pour that into the cake mold.
If the bottom of the cake mold is removable, make sure to cover it with aluminum foil.
➢4) 4:34
Put the cake mold on a bat and pour the boiling water there, then bake at 160-165℃ for 50 minutes.
➢5) 5:19
Cool to room temperature and then cool that in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
※This is a very soft cake, so please handle with care.

INGREDIENTS
A. Bao dough
* Part 1
15 ml milk
1/2 tsp (3gr) caster sugar
1 tsp (3 gr) instant yeast
250 gram all purpose flour
120 ml milk
30 ml oil
* Part 2
75 gram all purpose flour
1 egg white (28-30gram)
30 – 50 gram caster sugar
4 gram baking powder
B. Filling
150 gram minced pork
30 gram onion
1 shallot
1 dried black mushroom/ wood ear fungus
6 dried shiitake mushrooms
8 salted egg yolk or 1 egg (hard boiled), cut into 8 wedges
1 Chinese sausage (50 gram)
1/2 tbsp (7-8ml) oyster sauce
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
1. Don't knead the dough too much otherwise the texture of the dough might be chewy.
2. After shaping the buns, don't let it rest (and rise) for too long, otherwise, there will be wrinkles on the surface of the buns
3. If you steam the buns in a normal pan, not a steamer like I do in the video, first boil the water. When the water boils very hard, set the heat at medium and put the buns onto the pan to steam. We need high heat at the beginning for the buns to rise. However, steaming on too high heat may cause wrinkles on the outer edge of the buns.
4. If your buns don't rise at all (even when proofing), check the quality of your yeast.
5. If your buns have dense and heavy texture, there are some possible causes as follows:
- Steam at too low heat
- Steam at too high heat at first then take them out of the steamer too soon
- Dough is too dry
- Kneading is not good enough
STORING:
- If you want to store these buns, first let them cool down completely then wrap them with cling film and stored in zip lock bags or air tight containers.
- Keep them in the fridge and serve in 2 days. When serve, steam them again or microwave them for 2 - 3 minutes at 600Watt (cover carefully or the buns will get dry).
- These buns can be frozen and kept for 2 months in the freezer. Thaw in the fridge and warm up by steamer or microwave.

這裡有兩個問題
其一, Windows 的變數展開是在讀取指令時取代
注意這並不是細部的一條指令, 而是最外層的一條指令
在此就是我上面留下來的 if ... (...) else (...) 這一大塊
在讀取這條指令的當下 %index% 還沒有值
所以那行 "echo %index%" 就只會展開成 "echo "
而沒有參數的 echo 是用來顯示目前的 echo 設定情形的
(就是執行指令時要不要先印指令出來)
因為這時是 echo off 狀態所以顯示了「ECHO 已關閉。」
這個要解決得要使用所謂的「延遲環境變數展開」功能
用法是原本用 %...% 展開的變數改成 !...!
這樣就能夠讓變數展開留到底層指令執行時才展開
其二, 你的 if 字串比對用法錯了
事實上 Windows batch 的 if 只要裡面有帶 == 就一定是字串比對
不需要也不認得雙引號
這個雙引號的使用跟 if 無關, 而是跟命令列參數的切割有關
但因為 if 是內部指令, 他會直接去看這個切割出來的參數字串而不刪除雙引號
因此當比較字串兩端的引號狀況有所不同時就一定不會成立
例如 if "a" == a (echo True) else (echo False) ←這個印出 False
if "a" == 'a' (echo True) else (echo False) ←這個也印出 False
if "'a'" == 'a' (echo True) else (echo False) ←這個也印出 False
if "a" == "a" (echo True) else (echo False) ←這個印出 True
if a == a (echo True) else (echo False) ←這個也印出 True
if 'a' == 'a' (echo True) else (echo False) ←這個也印出 True
所以, 這裡你要改成 if "!index!" == "Y" ( ...
這樣才會正確比較 (注意這裡也是延遲展開, 理由很容易明白)
另外應該有不少人有聽說這種比較就都加雙引號, 這是為了安全起見
因為變數裡有空白或根本變數就是空值時會對命令解析造成影響
要讓 == 兩邊都能有恰好一個東西的話用 "" 抓起來讓它切割成一整個參數再去比最簡單
