【那個人稱「猴子」的男人】
.

1582年6月2日，差一點就能夠結束群雄割據的年代，成為統一日本的霸主 織田信長，被自己的手下叛變而身亡，是為「本能寺之變」。他的家臣 豐臣秀吉 在事後解決家族問題後漸漸掌握實權，並有意繼承織田信長統一日本的遺志。

豐臣秀吉因為出身卑微，個性或行事作風特殊而被人戲稱是「猴子」；使他靠著自己的力量爬上位，但 德川家康 勢力卻蠢蠢欲動。雖然與豐臣家保持盟友關係，卻在織田信長死後做出許多讓人嗅出挑釁意味濃厚的舉動。

【來自德川的挑釁】
.

為了防止各個大名之間拉攏結盟，任何政治聯姻或是俸祿之事都必須經過豐臣家許可；德川家康在豐臣秀吉晚年被指派為豐臣家的五大老，並在秀吉死前承諾不會以任何形式奪權，輔佐年輕的繼承者豐臣秀賴，以維持各大名之間的平衡。

縱使五大老交換狀書，德川家康卻還是特立獨行專政，並以五大老的名義將自己的親戚或親信進行聯姻，以及增加大名的石高 (薪俸)。德川家康的種種舉動顯示其準備奪權的野心，也開始和豐臣秀吉死後掌握實權的石田三成發生大大小小衝突；兩人關係惡化，一場大戰蓄勢待發，無可避免。

德川家康與石田三成之間的衝突越演越烈，日本各地的大名逐漸演變成為支持德川家康的東軍，以及支持石田三成的西軍，東西兩軍對立的局面。自1560年6月2日東軍出征會津開始，雙方在日本各地發生激烈戰役；最終雙方在10月21日於中部地區的關原決戰。

東西軍兩方起初勢均力敵，最終卻因為原屬西軍的小早川秀秋叛變而局勢大變，西軍瓦解。

【決定天下的戰役】

關原之戰結束後，確定了德川家康為日本戰國時代末期的霸主地位。他在日後對豐臣秀吉遺族及原西軍勢力不斷討伐，並在1614年的大阪城戰役中一舉消滅。德川家康也在關原之戰不久後，建立了長達265年和平的德川幕府。

Happening on the 14th-15th October in GIFU!

⚔The 2017 Battle of Sekigahara Festival⚔

Come to the biggest event in Sekigahara of the year, which commemorates what many call the most important and decisive battle in feudal Japan🏯
This year’s festival is centered around samurai commander Yoshihiro Shimazu (島津義弘), who officially participated in the battle as part of the western forces lead by Mitsunari Ishida.

Here are some times of events on Sunday you may want to keep in mind:
※ Samurai Riflemen Firing Demonstrations: 11:30am-12:00pm (Mt. Sasao Venue), 1:00pm-1:30pm (Jinbano Venue)
※ Battle Formation Performance: 12:00pm-1:00pm (Mt. Sasao Venue)
※ Warrior Procession of East and West Armies: 1:00pm-1:40pm (marching from Mt. Sasao Venue to Jinbano Venue)
※ Sekigahara Battle Reenactment (focusing on Yoshihiro Shimazu): 2:00pm-3:00pm (Jinbano Venue, Fureai Plaza)

■関ヶ原の戦い（せきがはらのたたかい）は、安土桃山時代の慶長5年9月15日（西暦1600年10月21日）に、美濃国不破郡関ヶ原（岐阜県不破郡関ケ原町）を主戦場として行われた野戦。関ヶ原における決戦を中心に日本の全国各地で戦闘が行われ、関ヶ原の合戦、関ヶ原合戦とも呼ばれる
