Semoga anda semua sentiasa di dalam Rahmat & Kasih Sayang Allah swt serta baginda Rasulullah SAW.

Pagi ini saya rasa sedih di atas kehilangan seorang guru yang baik iaitu Al-Fadhil Ustaz Dato’ Ismail Kamus. Dan Allah swt ambil beliau pada hari, malam dan bulan yang penuh barokah. Mengenali beliau ketika hayatnya, saya yakin beliau telah Allah swt pada saat yang menjadi tanda-tanda pemergian ramai orang-orang yang soleh iaitu pada malam jumaat atau hari jumaat.

Arwah ayah saya juga kebetulan meninggal dunia pada waktu maghrib malam jumaat pada 4 November 2010.

Semoga mereka dan semua orang kita sayangi yang telah kembali lebih awal dari kita termasuk kita satu ketika nanti ditempatkan ruh di kalangan orang-orang soleh! Diampuni dosa, dilapangkan liang kubur kita semua serta dilepaskan dari siksaan kubur.

Mohon sama-sama baca Surah Al-Fatihah dihadiahkan buat ruh beliau serta ruh-ruh orang yang terdekat dengan kita.

Sesungguhnya waktu kita amat singkat. Dan saat kematian arwah ayah saya pada November 2010 benar-benar menyedarkan saya. Saya berlumba dengan masa dan kematian. Dan saya mesti buat apa yang saya mampu untuk beri manfaat kepada orang lain dengan niat setiap manfaat adalah menjadi pahala buat kedua ibu-bapa saya.

Dan saya memilih untuk berkongsi ilmu dengan membina RichWorks International sebagai sebuah perniagaan specialised dalam membangunkan usahawan-usahawan dari Zero hingga mereka pula mampu beri manfaat kepada ramai orang samada beri peluang pekerjaan kepada ramai orang, beri peluang perniagaan atau bantu selesaikan masalah orang dengan produk atau servis berkualiti yang mereka boleh tawarkan.

Saya amat yakin dengan prinsip dari Hadis Rasulullah SAW ini, Sebaik-baik manusia adalah manusia yang bermanfaat untuk ramai orang lain.

Dan saya pilih untuk jadikan perniagaan sebagai salah satu cara untuk beri manfaat kepada ramai orang lain Insha Allah. Dan bimbing mereka yang mahu beri manfaat melalui membina perniagaan.

Apalah ertinya hidup sekadar hidup dan tidak banyak manfaat?

Takkan Allah swt lahirkan kita hanya untuk hidup biasa-biasa? Sekadar hidup, makan, tidur, kahwin, beranak dan tunggu mati?

Saya sentiasa percaya bahawa Allah swt tidak lahirkan saya dan ramai dari anda hanya untuk sekadar hidup.

Bak kata Prof Hamka,

Jika hidup sekadar hidup, babi dihutan juga hidup.

Jika kerja sekadar kerja, kera dihutan juga kerja.

Apa manfaat yang anda bawa ke dunia ini? Atau sebenarnya kita pilih nak buktikan yang Allah swt “ter” salah lahirkan kita ke dunia? Kita hanya bawa mudarat atau tidak ada manfaat?

Mana mungkin! Allah swt terlalu hebat dan Dia boleh jadikan kita lahir sebagai haiwan lain seperti nyamuk, kucing, unta, biawak but instead, Dia lahirkan kita sebagai manusia. Makhluk Dia yang diberi kemuliaan.

For what? You ni sebenarnya ciptaan Dia yang “membazir” wasted dan tidak ada manfaat?

Atau sebenarnya you boleh pilih menjadi seseorang yang banyak manfaat kebaikan kepada manusia sekeliling sekurang-kurangnya...

Jika kita tidak mampu menjadi mentari menyinari orang lain di waktu pagi atau lilin membakar diri untuk menerangi orang lain di waktu malam, janganlah pula kita menjadi api yang membinasakan orang lain.

Allah swt beri kita akal. Untuk apa? Untuk buat pilihan dan ilmu adalah penyuluh bagi akal untuk membuat pilihan yang terbaik.

Mudah-mudahan anda menjadi manusia yang bermanfaat kepada diri, keluarga dan orang lain Insha Allah!

May all of you always be in the grace & love of Allah swt and his majesty rasulullah saw.

This morning I feel sad on the loss of a good teacher that is al-Fadhil Ustaz Dato ' Ismail Dictionary. And Allah swt takes him on a day, night and a month full of blessings. Knowing him during his life, I believe he has Allah swt at the moment that is the sign of the passing of many righteous people which is on Friday night or Friday.

My late father also happened to die during maghrib night Friday night on November 4, 2010.

May they and all our loved ones who have returned earlier than us including us once upon a time placed the spirit among the righteous! Forgiven by sin, our grave is opened all and released from the torture of the grave.

Please read the Surah Al-Fatihah to be gifted to his spirit and the spirit of the people who are close to us.

Indeed, our time is very short. And the moment of my late father's death in November 2010 really woke me up. I race with time and death. And I must do what I can to benefit others with the intention of every benefit is to be a reward for both my parents.

Won't Allah swt give birth to us just to live a normal life? Just live, eat, sleep, marry, give birth and wait to die?

I always believe that Allah swt doesn't give birth to me and many of you just to be alive.

As Prof Hamka said,

If life is just life, the pig in the forest is also alive.

If work is just a job, the monkey in the forest is also working.

What benefits do you bring to this world? Or actually we choose to prove that Allah swt "Ter" is wrong to give birth to the world? We only bring harm or no benefit?

How is it possible! Allah swt is too great and he can make us born as other animals like mosquitoes, cats, camels, lizards but instead, he gave us as humans. His creature that was given glory.

For What? You are actually his "waste" creation and no benefit?

Or actually you can choose to be someone who has many benefits of kindness to humans around at least...

If we are not able to be the sun shining on others in the morning or the candle burn themselves to illuminate others at night, let us not be the fire that destroys others.

Allah swt gives us common sense. For What? To make choices and knowledge is the penyuluh of the mind to make the best choice.

May you be a human being who is beneficial to yourself, family and others insha Allah!

WATCH ALLAH'S RIGHT ON THE HOLY QUR'AN!

"Everybody! If there are any evil attempts by the jins or people that either wanted to bother or witch us, Allah will definitely make all of their efforts end in vain. All of the bad intentions and wretched desires will eventually crumble into dust. In order for that to happen, we should practice this verse":

وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَى مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَنْثُورًا

Meaning: And We will regard what they have done of deeds (what they thought was valid), and MAKE THEM AS DUST DISPERSED. (al-Furqan [25:23])

There was once this Ustaz on television shows that taught audiences "how to use" and benefit from the said verse stated above. I waited until the end of the show for the Ustaz to explain the true meaning of the verse that Allah SWT tried to convey to us. But it all ended with disappointment. The audience of the show could easily thought that "THIS IS THE VERSE TO EXPEL GHOSTS AND IS AN OBSTRUCTION FOR WITCHCRAFT." If they were asked "What is the true meaning of this verse?" Maybe a certain would answer "I don't really care, as long as I have a magic verse to expel ghosts then it is enough for me."

One day, when I ended my Commentary class there was a woman who came to me and seek for my validation on a Qur'anic verse that were said can ease lower back pain. An Ustazah once thought her the verse:

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ

Meaning: "And when you strike, you strike as tyrants" (al-Syu'ara' [26:130])

"What is the back story of this verse? What did Allah wanted us to fathom and reflect on?" Those were the questions that I asked her. She then replied: "I know nothing, but the Ustazah said that this is the verse to ease lumbago."

"IT'S NOT THAT I DON'T AGREE" on the idea that Qur'an can cure you physically, but you should always put Allah's rights first when dealing with the Qur'an. What is Allah's rights in each and every verse of the Qur'an? It is so simple, we just have to truly understand the REAL MEANING and messages that Allah wanted to convey to us. Let's analyze the verses that were stated above.

THE FIRST VERSE WAS CONSIDERED AS THE VERSE THAT CAN DEMOLISH ALL OF THE ENEMIES' HORRENDOUS PLANS that came from surah al-Furqan. It told us about the charity of the non-believers that was not accepted by Allah in the Hereafter. No matter how much they did their charity, it will still be DISPERSED LIKE DUSTS. There are a few verses that addresses this issue as well:

قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالًا (103) الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا (104) أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَائِهِ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَزْنًا (105) ذَلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَرُسُلِي هُزُوًا (106)

Meaning: Say, (O Muhammad), "Shall we (believers) inform you of the greatest losers as to (their) deeds? (They are) those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work." Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in (their) meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance. That is their recompense - Hell - for what they denied and (because) they took My signs and My messengers in ridicule (al-Kahf [18:103-106]).

This issue can also relate to (Ali 'Imran [3:10-11, 116-117]). We may be wondering why the 23rd verse of surah al-Furqan was said it could destroy all of other people's bad intentions towards us? It turns out that we should take a long pause to relate the real meaning of the verse and the benefits of the verse that was said by the Ustaz.

THE SECOND VERSE THAT WAS SAID CAN EASE LOWER BACK PAIN is from surah al-Syu'ara' and it was about the people of 'Ad that likes to oppress other people. To fathom the said verse, we need to refer to the tale of Prophet Hud in the surah from the verse 121 until 141. This is a far more reasonable way to deal with the Qur'an. The verse tells a story about the habit of people of 'Ad that likes to oppress other people just because they were blessed with strong physiques. Allah's commandments:

أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَنْ جَاءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لِيُنْذِرَكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ مِنْ بَعْدِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَزَادَكُمْ فِي الْخَلْقِ بَسْطَةً فَاذْكُرُوا آلَاءَ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

Meaning: (Prophet Hud preach the people of 'Ad, which said): "Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you? And remember when He made you successors after the people of Noah and He INCREASED YOU IN STATURE EXTENSIVELY. So remember the favors of Allah that you might succeed" (al-A'raf [7:69]).

After understanding the "lumbago" verse, in "the true meaning of the verse that Allah wanted us to understand", we should make a resolution not to oppress other people with the strengths that Allah blessed us with, not reading it just to cure lower back pain.

CONCLUSION?

1) Each and every verse of the Qur'an needs to be comprehended with Allah's original contexts before we make absurd assumptions. To make that happen, we should learn and value all of the tales delivered by referring to the previous and the following verse that we highlighted. This is what people who interact with the Qur'an should do to avoid misunderstanding and preserve the Qur'an as the book of guidance (al-Baqarah[2:2]) and not just for spells and charms.

2) It is also known that verses from the Qur'an can cure us physically (Yunus [10:57], al-Isra' [17:82] & Fussilat [41:44]). It was said by theologians like Imam al-Suyuti in his book al-Itqan Fi 'Ulum al-Quran in the chapter KHAWAS AL-QUR'AN (Benefits of Qur'an). That being said, the effectiveness of a verse depends on the "quality of one's faith" like said in this story:

أن رجلا مصابًا مرَّ به عبد الله بن مسعود، فقرأ في أذنه هذه الآية: { أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لا تُرْجَعُونَ * فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ } ، حتى ختم السورة فَبَرَأ، [فذكر ذلك لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم] (5) ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "بماذا قرأت في أذنه؟" فأخبره، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "والذي نفسي بيده، لو أن رجلا مُوقنا قرأها على جَبَل لزال".

Meaning: One day, Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud met a man that was afflicted with illness. H then, recite verses (al-Mu'minun [23:115-118]) and that man was healed. He told this story to Rasullullah SAW. The Messenger of Allah SAW said: What verse did you recite to his ears? ................ Rasulullah SAW then said, BY THE LORD'S NAME! IF A BELIEVER WHO IS TRULY CONVINCED WITH ALLAH'S POWERS AND HE THEN, READ VERSES OF THE QUR'AN TO A MOUNTAIN, THEN SURELY THE MOUNTAIN WILL EXPLODE.

3) We need to guide people how to interact with the Qur'an the right way by reading, understanding the real meaning of a verse and encourage them to always learn, do charity, have faith and taqwa to increase the effectiveness of the Qur'an for their body and soul.

Al-Quran is a holy book. Rasulullah SAW and his companions fought for Qur'an until the very end. If it is just a verse to dispel ghosts or a cure for lower back pain, then all of Rasulullah SAW and his companions sacrifices were a joke. Let's change the way we think and interact with the Qur'an because it can be an antidote FOR THE BODY AND SOUL. Later, if it is taught; this verse has a benefit of this and that, prioritize the real meaning of the verse because it is the manner of truly embracing Qur'an.

富與貧對吾來說，是先後的問題。怎麼說呢？就好比一位富甲一方的大富豪。為人驕傲又"寒酸"。平時的生活超節儉，吃粥配三個A的菜心罐。這也並沒有甚麼不妥。問題是他，她從不布施。他，她也不善用這一世的財富，為下一世積累更深厚的福報。因此，這樣的富豪自然而然就沒有再富的因，來世也就自然而然不會再有富的果。不富反貧了。貧窮的這一世雖不富，但他，她很抱握每一次行善的機會，久而久之，他，她也就脫離貧籍了。

另有一種是他，她都很積極做慈善與公益，可是邊做邊埋怨，也常常"碎碎唸"。這樣的行善法，也是無法與富結緣的。因為，所謂的行善，是要完完全全，歡喜甘願的去做的。吾這一說，諸位大德也應該有所領悟了。為何做了這麼多善事始終無法改善命運。還有一種是很喜歡佔他人便宜的。這樣的人，當然也很難與富有緣。原因很簡單，他，她還沒積德，就先缺德了。真是"陰功" （廣東話）啊！不富的原因不祇是這幾種。但這幾種是很要不得的。因為毫無善可言。我們若存著私心去行善，是有虧的。有虧，如何圓滿。一般人是無法察覺。但，鬼神是佈滿十方法界的。人的念頭一起，鬼神早已知曉，無功反有過，命運祇會越來越凶啊！

行善是完全的給於，付出要有利人的心，不計較，持之以恆的去進行。歹運才能夠得以扭轉乾坤，反貧為富啊！好好學習這富與貧的學問吧！貧窮自然就會離你，妳遠遠的。玳瑚師父祝各位，願望早達。

In my opinion, being rich or poor is a matter of sequence. Why do I say that? Let's use an analogy of a extremely wealthy man who is a haughty scrooge. He leads a life of thrift, eating porridge with pickled vegetables all his life. There is nothing wrong with his lifestyle, except that he never once uses his wealth in this lifetime for the benefit of others and accumulate more merits for his next life. As such, in terms of the law of cause and effect, he did not create the seed or 'cause' to be wealthy again in his next life. A person, who is poor this life, however recognizes and grasps the opportunity to do good and accumulate merits often, he would plant the seed (cause) to be wealthy (effect) and break free from poverty eventually.

There is another kind of people who, despite his/her persistence in doing charity work, grumble non-stop as he/she is doing it. This behaviour or attitude would not have help their cause to accumulate merits for future fortune. Good deeds must be done willingly, with complete sincerity from the bottom of your heart. I hope with the above sentence, my dear readers would finally realise why, despite doing all the good deeds, there is no improvement to your lives.

There is yet another kind of people who love to take advantage of others. Such people would find it very difficult to have an affinity with wealth. Reason being, they are sorely lacking in virtues even before they accumulate more merits. How pathetic that is! No wonder good fortune and wealth do not come knocking at their doors.

There are many more reasons why a person is not wealthy this life, but the above mentioned are the significant ones to note and avoid. If we 'help' others out of selfish motives, it will backfire on us in terms of karma. There is absolutely no kindness in such conduct. Like a round moon with a chip, it can never be full again. A layman will probably never realise but in the ten realms of existence are gods and spirits who are watching our every thought. Every unwholesome thought will lead us down the ill-fated path, further and further away from redemption.

To be able to give unreservedly is what I call doing good. This meant giving yourself to benefit others, without being calculative, and to show perseverance to the end. Doing so would turn the tide in your life and let you make the leap from poverty to wealth! Learn this wisdom well and poverty shall evade you naturally. I wish everyone an early fulfillment of your dreams!
