It’s safe to say the slump is officially over. Through the first seven games of the Golden State Warriors season, Klay Thompson had just five three-pointers made, on 36 attempts.
But against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, Thompson said enough is enough. He came out firing. And then he fired some more. And some more.
And some more.
Thompson had six threes in the first quarter alone, and made it to halftime with 10 of them (on just 14 attempts). The 10 threes set the NBA record for total threes in a first half, while tying the NBA record for most threes in any half.
Thompson also raised his three-point percentage from 13.9% to 30.0%, just in the half.
Yep, he is definitely back, and clearly wanting to put on a show after the ridiculous individual performances that his teammates had earlier in the week.
It doesn’t get much more fun than watching Klay catch fire.
