See a Mighty Jesus
“In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew. One called to another, and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!” The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.” (Isaiah 6:1-4 WEB)
Picture this majestic vision. The mortal king of Israel had just died, and the Lord Christ revealed Himself, seated on His throne of glory which was high and lifted up, and the train of His robes filled the whole temple. The longer the train, the more honorable the king is—it was a picture of the supreme ruler. The King of kings and Lord of lords!
No mortal king rules forever, so regardless of who rules in Israel, Christ is the ultimate king who is watching over the nation, protecting it from all her enemies.
We can benefit from seeing Jesus in His love and Grace, and also from seeing Him in His power and authority. However, the former is more important to be established in first because without having a sense of being loved by Him, you will be afraid of Him due to the latter.
Behold Jesus in His power. Can any enemy stand against a God like that? He is Yahweh of Armies, who commands the seraphim, the cherubim, the four living creatures, the chariots of fire, and all the heavenly armies. The natural elements of this world like the wind and waves obey His word, and nothing can resist His command.
When we magnify the Lord in our hearts, we won’t fear the enemies because the greatness of our God overshadows the problems we face in life.
What does the passage mean when it says that “the house was filled with smoke”? This smoke is the smoke from the altar of incense, which is a picture of the prayers being offered up by the nation of Israel. The people were crying out for God to help them, and that is why the temple was filled with smoke—the many prayers of the people.
“The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”” (Luke 18:6-8 WEB)
God is being patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance in Christ Jesus. There is a day of vengeance coming, which is the period of time called the Tribulation and the Day of Christ, and it will be horrible for the inhabitants of this earth who have not received Jesus Christ as Lord. We won’t be going through the Tribulation, but we will be returning to earth with Jesus on the Day of Christ (popularly known as the Second Coming).
Our Lord is not coming back as a meek Lamb, but as the mighty Lion of the tribe of Judah.
“I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called “The Word of God.” The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen. Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS.”” (Revelation 19:11-16 WEB)
We have to change the picture of the ascended Jesus we have in our minds. He is no longer the bleeding and suffering man of sorrows who was so injured that He fell from the weigh of the cross that He was carrying.
He is now high and lifted up, back on His throne of glory, with all the heavenly armies at His command. In fairy tales, there is often a handsome prince on a white horse that whisks the damsel in distress away to a happy ending where they ride away together into the sunset. Where did humans get this picture from?
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11 WEB)
God has set eternity into the hearts of men. Jesus is the prince who will save Israel from her oppressors. When you think of Jesus today, see a mighty King who commands the heavenly armies to fight your battles for you. He does this because He loves you!

Nothing can Disrobe You
“I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh! My soul will be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” (Isaiah 61:10 WEB)
When Adam and Eve sinned by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they suddenly realized that they were naked.
Since then, every child that has been born came into this world spiritually naked—having no righteousness.
The moment people place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, spiritually they are clothed with dazzling white robes of righteousness.
Not every Christian knows this, even if they are already dressed in these robes.
The devil takes advantage of our ignorance and tries to deceive believers who think they can lose their righteousness by sinning.
He wants you to feel like you’re naked and uncovered—exposed to demonic attacks and God’s punishment.
After the Jews fulfilled the time of their captivity in Babylon, God opened doors for them to return to the land and rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.
The two main leaders God anointed for this task of rebuilding the temple were Zerubbabel a prince of Judah, and Joshua the high priest.
The rebuilding project was going well until suddenly, Israel’s neighboring enemies wrote a letter to the King of Persia to forcibly halt the project.
The Jews became discouraged and for a long time, it seemed as though it would be impossible to rebuild the temple.
“He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before Yahweh’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary. Yahweh said to Satan, “Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel. He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off of him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.” I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and Yahweh’s angel was standing by.” (Zechariah 3:1-5 WEB)
After Israel’s enemies had succeeded in their evil ploy for a while, we see in the passage above that Joshua initially believed that God was punishing him and Israel for their sins.
We know this from the vision of Joshua wearing filthy garments and a dirty turban—Joshua believed that he was unclean and unworthy of God. His mind was also filled with such thoughts.
This unbelief hindered him from walking in faith to fulfill his God-given calling.
We also learn that Satan was the one personally deceiving Joshua about this. The devil knows if he can trick us into believing that we have lost our righteous standing before God, we will end up living in defeat.
However, was it really true that God was angry with Joshua? No, Yahweh (Jesus) wanted him to be clothed with rich clothing—the robes of righteousness, and a clean turban.
In other words, Joshua was actually already made righteous by faith but he didn’t know it.
He thought that perhaps he or Israel sinned, causing the halt of the temple reconstruction project.
The clean turban represents a renewed mind.
That’s what we need—God’s word to renew our minds and let us believe that we are always dressed in the dazzling robes of righteousness.
Never let the devil strip you of the sense of your forgiveness and righteousness before God.
You didn’t earn your salvation by your works, and neither can you lose it by your works.
You are always dressed in the garments of salvation and the robes of righteousness!

Today is Christmas Eve...
“In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it...The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.” (John 1:4-5, 9 WEB)
Imagine the day before Jesus was born, Israel was in a state of moral darkness and bondage, like a prisoner shut up in the deepest dungeon by the devil.
Just picture the groans and sighs of the Jews at that time, hoping in their hearts for deliverance from their Roman colonialists.
Some may have prayed for a deliverer like Moses to come, so that Israel would be brought out of slavery from Egypt once again.
The next day, Jesus was born ever so silently without any fanfare from men.
The light of the world came into the world which was in darkness and spiritually sleeping.
Myriads of angels and a bright star testified to the divinity of this child who was placed in a manger, among animals, like a sacrificial lamb destined for slaughter.
This child grew up and saved mankind through His own death!
Dear brethren, perhaps your life right now is like Christmas Eve back then, where it’s all dark without any obvious evidence of God’s goodness.
I declare to you that Jesus is about to show up suddenly in your life in a powerful way!
A silent but significant miracle is going to change everything, like a light breaking forth into your darkness!

When it comes to having a style, I’d say my style is “Athleisure” as I’m in activewear most of the time. Haha! You will almost always find me in my black tights whether I'm at the gym or not. So Soo Hua is going to help me create 6 different looks that go well with black tights but lets me still feel comfortable.
LOOK 1: Office & Work Meetings
This first look is suitable for the office and even meetings. The design of this white top is structured and fitting to my body. It is not too body hugging or too loose. And the black and white combination portrays a professional image. Pair it with simple black heels and a structured handbag to complete this smart & sophisticated look.
LOOK 2: Lunch / Coffee Appointment with Work Associates
This look is great for lunch or coffee appointments with work associates. It’s not something I’d normally wear as I don't usually go for loose fitting attire. Soo Hua however convinced me that wearing loose fitting clothes can create a more relaxed vibe and atmosphere when meeting with people and building work relationships.
I love the red heels, which add more excitement to my overall look. This certainly does fit with my lively outlook without being too serious. And a simple clutch compliments this casual and relaxed look.
LOOK 3: Brunch / Hi-Tea with Friends
The third outfit is something I’d put on over the weekend to meet with friends over brunch or hi-tea. This simple blue striped top with its minimal detail suits my casual style. Soo Hua has me pairing it with slippers for a more laid back vibe. I’m accessorizing it with the same clutch from the previous look.
LOOK 4: Casual Office Attire
Somedays I want to just lay low, especially when I have lots going on, having to run about or when I have to work long hours in the office. This simple pairing of a loose fitting black long top against the black tights and black heels are really comfortable and just right. For a slightly more sophisticated look, we’re going with my brown leather bag.
LOOK 5: Dinner / Night Outings
If I have a dinner appointment, all I have to do is change the heels and handbag and voila, I’m ready for a good night out! I love the choice of the red heels as it lifts my mood and a nice simple clutch is all I need to keep my necessities.
LOOK 6: Party
I’ve always loved cropped tops, so for my upcoming birthday party, Soo Hua has chosen this lovely piece. The cut is fun and fits my personality making me feel great and confident.
The ruffles and drop shoulders gives emphasis on my neckline, which is one of my favourite parts of my body. Plus this material is so easy to manage. I complete the look with these heels, simple cause it’s my special day and the red heels are a killer.
All the best! xx
