防宿醉飲酒貼士
周先生:「中秋假期已約好朋友相聚,每次多喝幾杯第二天醒來就頭痛想嘔很辛苦,有方法預防嗎?」
CheckCheckCin:頭暈頭痛、嘔心欲吐、口乾等都是宿醉常見的症狀,中醫理論認為適量喝酒能行氣活血、溫陽補血,然而飲酒過量就會傷神耗血,導致出現暗瘡、口臭、小便深黃等濕熱症狀。酒量人人不同,記得量力而為,想減少宿醉的症狀,要避免空腹飲酒,速度亦不要過急;喝酒時少吃燒烤、油炸等熱性食物;喝酒後多喝水補充水份,不要立即沖熱水涼,以免氣血過度運行導致頭暈等不適。如果有宿醉症狀,可以適量進食柚子、梨、西瓜、香蕉、蘋果或橙,因為這些水果都有解酒作用。或者沖泡一杯花旗參梨乾茶,有醒酒、紓緩宿醉不適症狀。
花旗參梨茶
功效:醒酒,紓緩酒後不適如頭重欲吐、無胃口等症狀。
材料:花旗參1湯匙、梨乾3-4片
做法:材料洗淨放保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一遍,注入熱開水焗約15分鐘即可。此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡。

Tips to prevent hangovers
“My friends and I are going to have gatherings during the Mid-Autumn Festival, but I feel nauseous and my head hurts the next day whenever I drink a little more. Are there effective ways to prevent a hangover?”
CheckCheckCin: Dizziness and headache, feeling nauseous, as well as dry mouth are symptoms of a hangover. Chinese Medicine believes drinking an appropriate amount of alcohol can invigorate the qi and blood, warm the yang and replenish the blood, but excessive drinking can hurt the mind and exhaust the blood. This will eventually cause symptoms that consistent with the damp-heat condition, for instance, acne outbreaks, bad breath and urine in dark yellow color.
People have different levels of alcohol tolerance, so remember to practise self-control. To reduce the chances of experiencing a hangover, avoid drinking alcohol with an empty stomach, and do not chug the drinks. When drinking, cut down on eating barbecued and oily food; for those who wish to rehydrate the body after drinking, do not go for a warm shower immediately, as it will over-activate the circulation of blood and qi and cause dizziness.
In order to relieve a hangover, eat an appropriate amount of pomelo, pear, watermelon, banana, apple or orange; or make yourself a cup of American ginseng and dried pear tea.
American Ginseng tea with pear
Effects: Helps to sober up. Relieves symptoms such as heavy headedness, nausea, lack of appetite after drinking.
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of American Ginseng, 3-4 pieces of dried pear
Preparation: : Place all ingredients into thermos. Rinse once with hot water, add in hot water and steep for 15 minutes until aroma develops. This tea can be re-browed until flavour weakens.

米芝蓮3星🌟認可的四季酒店法國菜🇫🇷
三道菜午餐($645HKD) 頭盤/湯,肉/魚,加甜品及咖啡茶。
Oppa揀了帶子Carpaccio做頭盤,然後挑選了乳鴿做主菜。名不虛傳,由麵包🍞到甜品全部都超好味😍 唯獨份量太少😂 乳鴿肉才給了我半邊胸肉的感覺。幸好我當天放假,所以遲起床,吃了人生中最昂貴的早餐🤦🏻♂️ 成年男士應該要叫4道菜才飽喔!
要特別提及甜品,實在令人太難忘❤️ 我點了季節性的梨子甜點🍐 梨茸加入了雲尼拿,如果給我一碗當湯飲,我一定答應🤤 另外的焦糖花生朱古力🍫和淡淡的梨子果香完全相反,但亦是令人吃得停不了口!裡面有多重口感,甜度適中,是神級享受。

I chose the Scallop Carpaccio as my appetizer. Beautiful citrus touch thanks to the lemon cream🍋 Went with the Pigeon for my main course. Great flavour but portion was tiny, almost miniature😂 Lucky I was on holiday, so I slept in; strictly speaking, I had a very, very extravagant (yet worthy) breakfast🤦🏻♂️ Would def recommend an adult male to get at least 4 courses for lunch.
Dessert deserves a special mention😌 The Pear themed dessert was a seasonal item🍐 Fragrant fresh vanilla was mixed into the puree, so good I would volunteer to chug this down as if it were a bowl of soup😍 The other option was on completely opposite ends when compared to this delicate, fruity dessert. Caramel, Peanut and Chocolate🍫 So devilishly tasty, with multiple textures: crunchy, creamy and even chewy!

| 40 minutes |
I spend at least 40 minutes to and fro my workplace on the train. Usually I would use it to reply all my emails and messages. Today I had the time to look around. Most people are sleeping, swiping their phone, or just staring into the blank.
40 minutes. It’s a lot, to be honest.
For the first few days, I used it to rest. Then I asked myself, is that what I want? Or do I prefer to chug a cup of coffee, listen to podcasts, force myself to stimulate my mind and kick start the day more productively?
It’s a matter of if your hunger pushes you to venture further beyond your comfort zone. And I know I want that. I want to better myself, hence I’m trying my best to maximise that 40 minutes.
Everyone has their own “40 minutes”. You could be the person sleeping, the person staring out to the blank, or the person trying to make the most out of the day.
So ask yourself, who do you want to be? 🙂
