For ages, music creation has been the realm of great composers and musicians. Perhaps soon both AI and AI creators can be added to the list?
AIVA (Artificial Intelligence Virtual Artist) uses Deep Neural Network to look for patterns in 30,000 of history’s greatest scores and infer what notes should come after several bars. As AIVA learns, it can build sets of mathematical rules for the particular style of music to create its own original composition. The resulting score, we must admit, is quite impressive.
