【BABI/你是豬】將在11月20日，於全台灣戲院正式上映! 並在11月6及7號在《金馬影展》世界首映。

【BABI/你是豬】由真人真事改編, 這起大型的校園種族暴動事件，發生在2000年馬來西亞南方小鎮的一所學校裡。

當時的馬來西亞處在一黨獨大，爛權腐敗，媒體被嚴格控管及消息封鎖的階段。因此這起事件在當時已被相關單位“和諧”，在馬來西亞幾乎沒有人知道。

我想把這部電影拍出來，目的除了要揭露事實的真相，也要藉此提醒馬來西亞人種族之間必須更團結，互助，交流，才不會一直被政治人物利用，以操弄種族情緒而達到政治目的。不然就會發生更多類似的悲劇。。。

“BABI”在馬來語裡面是“豬”的意思。在一般人眼裡，“豬”就只是一個動物的名稱。但在穆斯林的眼裡，豬是不潔的動物，只要在任何媒體上或言論上提到“豬”這個字眼，等同犯了大忌，會引起很大的爭議。而這部電影就是建立在“豬”這個字眼所引發的一系列連鎖效應，最後造成的悲劇。

【BABI/你是豬】在馬來西亞是一部禁片，沒辦法找到投資，因此只用了非常低的成本來拍攝，過程非常艱難和痛苦。但慶幸的是，最後我們不但在重重壓力下完成了拍攝，甚至還受到了各國影展的青睞，包括【德國柏林電影節】，【泰國國際電影節】以及【金馬影展】，有這樣的成績讓我們都感到非常欣慰。

感謝【金馬影展】的評審對【BABI/你是豬】的肯定，希望未來能讓更多人知道，並看得到這一部電影。

我們堅決反對種族政策，反對政府控制媒體及各種官官相護的行為。在此祝願我的國家馬來西亞未來能夠更好，各族團結共榮，一起譴責種族主義和一切歧視的行為。

最後，我要感謝台灣這片土地對不同聲音及藝術作品的包容與接納，感謝台灣，感謝【金馬影展】【金馬獎】以及發行商【華映娛樂】對我的肯定!

‘Babi’ will be available in all Taiwan cinemas on November 20 onwards! The film is also scheduled to debut internationally at the ‘Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival’ on the 6 and 7 of November 2020.

‘BABI’ is a film which is based on an actual real-life event, the movie sheds light on a massive school racial riot, the incident took place in year 2000 in a small town somewhere Southern in Malaysia.

During that time Malaysia was still under the authoritarian rule of one-dominant party, abuse of power and corruption were frequent, media and news were being stringently controlled or filtered. Thus, the incident was being ‘compromised’ by relevant authority, the case was unknown to most of the Malaysians.

I want to disclose the story though art and filming but most importantly sending a message to all Malaysians that we must be more unified disregard of our ethnicity and race. In short, we shall always lend a helping hand to each other and communicate with our hearts and souls therefore we won’t be exploited by politicians who incite racial sentiment to reach their end goal. Otherwise, we will only be trapped in this tragic never-ending cycle…

‘BABI’ in Malay means ‘PIG’. In someone’s eyes, ‘BABI’ is purely just a name for an animal but in Muslim’s eyes, pig resembles unholiness, a word which would radiate sin even mutter from one’s mouth, a taboo word which would spark controversy on any given media or comment section. Hence, this movie is built upon how the word ‘BABI’ triggered a chain reaction which ultimately resulted a series of misfortunes.

‘BABI’ is not passed for screening in Malaysia, a banned film. Due to this reason, the budget for this movie was very limited, I have had only a little of resources to finish this project, the process was arduous and agonizing. Luckily, we have not only completed the film under such immense pressure but being invited to Berlin International Film Festival, International Thai Film Festival and Golden Horse Film Festival as well, I’m relief that our labour and passion bore fruit right in the very end.

I want to thank the judging panel for all the recognition. I hope that in the future more people would know about the film and able to watch it.

We stand firm against any race policy and structural racism, we strongly oppose nepotism and government controlled media. I wish my home country Malaysia, to be ever united against racial policy and has a brighter future ahead.

I would like to thank Taiwan for welcoming all different kind of voices and art, thank you Taiwan. Lastly, shout-out to the ‘Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival’, ‘Golden Horse Awards’ and the film’s distributor ‘CPT Entertainment’ for their acknowledgment.

Never get carried away into bluffing yourself that smoothie bowls are healthy. It maybe healthier than char kuey teow or fried nuggets and sausages but the amount of sugar in fruits can be a silent disasters in a long run.

If at anytime having to pick my fruits for my bowl, it's with no doubt anything of berries family for their lower sugar content as compared to common "smoothie bowl" fruits like mango, pineapple, or dates etc. And I'm not saying we ditch those fruits all together, I'm just saying that getting lost in the hype and not paying attention to portions can be harmful.

We really don't want sugar bomb and if not careful can lack nutrients that are satiating- proteins and fats. Yes, the big F word is not and should not be a scary word because our body also need fats but let's not dwell into the whole TCA cycle. We don't know for certain of how much sugar we consume but think about the inapparent sugar amount in other foods we consume throughout the day. Asians especially love our carbs and carbs are essentially sugar. Also inevitably unknowingly (or knowingly) consuming plenty of sugar from drinks and beverages (yes boba chain...I'm looking at you!) as we are out and about carrying out or daily routine and tasks. Which is exactly why it is important to consciously cut down sugar intake.

Cutting down sugar in smoothie bowls can be simple without having to sacrifice palate satisfaction. Include plenty of nuts and seeds, as well as vegetables. I like adding powders as supplements into my bowls and I consciously avoid more than 1 banana for both smoothie and toppings combined. If adding yogurt, would be Greek and milk can be with no added sugar.

Moving into the month of October, as we keep a reminder to pink October month, I'm also going to be continuing with #sycookiesxpink on my feed.
Haven't had chia pudding in a long time so I made some for my pink bowl with cashew milk. No added sugar cause there's already sugar in fruits for the bowl.

Pudding: 3 Tbs chia seed,1/2 cup milk. Smoothie & topping: 1 banana, 1/4 cup soy yogurt, 3/4 cup mixed berries, 1Tbs flaxseed, pinch of ginger powder, coconut chips, pistachio.#loveearth #oneminutehealthymeal

【勿因過小而為之】NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A SMALL MISTAKE (English writing below)

她閱讀我文章許久
終於鼓起勇氣聯絡我
她說從我文章和影片學到的
之前的風水師看了幾年
都沒教過她
她家運一直沒更好
希望我幫她批八字看風水

她說晚上會把資料發給我
結果隔天我才收到資料
沒有道歉沒有解釋
彷彿一切都是理所當然的
直到我問

最後我選擇不幫她看

六月時
一位男士欲找我批八字
他說七月份會再聯絡我
結果九月才收到他的私訊
他一樣沒有道歉
沒有解釋
直到我問
我請他另請高明

三月時
一位女士經友人介紹
想我為他們夫婦倆批八字
我說自己的命自己負責
請她先生親自聯絡我

五月份
她再次私訊我
想在七月或八月見我
我告訴她兩人先捐款再給我資料
她說捐了後會聯絡我
結果九月份
我才收到資料
她沒主動道歉沒解釋
直到我問

She has been reading my posts for quite some time. One day, she finally plucked up the courage to contact me. She told me the knowledge she learnt from my writing and videos were things that her Feng Shui master of a few years never taught her. Her family luck had not been improving. So she wished for me to help her analyse her Bazi and audit her home Feng Shui.

She told me she would send me her details in the night but I only received it the next day. There was no apology or explanation. It was as if things were taken for granted. Till I asked for it.

In the end, I declined to help her.

In June, a gentleman sought my help to analyse his Bazi. He said he would contact me again in July. But I only received his PM in September.

There was similarly no apology and explanation, till I asked for his reason for going back on his words. I advised him to seek another Master afterwards.

In March, a lady looked for me upon her friend's recommendation. She wanted Bazi analysis for herself and her husband. I told her that every one should be responsible for his/her own destiny, and asked for her husband to contact me personally.

In May, she PM me again, requesting for a date in July or August for both of them. I told her to proceed with the donation and send me the details.

But I only got the information in September and it was incomplete. There was no explanation and apology till I asked for her reason.

I did not take up the jobs but invited her to seek another Master. Throughout this time, I never received any message from her husband. The lady was still doing all the liaising.

Perhaps many people think that we Feng Shui practitioners are no different from the usual businessmen. If there is money, we will take it. Who cares whether the client lacks trustworthiness or morals, as long as we receive the red packet?

Well, I care.

When you say you will PM me at night, I will really make time to wait for you.

When you ask me to arrange a certain time to meet, I will really make the arrangement while waiting for your reply.

While I do give you the opportunity to explain why you went back on your words, do not come and tell me things like "I thought it's okay since I never give you my information".
If you do not have faith that you will do what you say, then don't say first. Because that constitutes a lie.

If you are unable to keep your word for whatever reason, take the initiative to explain and apologise. Don't act as if nothing happened.

You are busy. What a coincidence. So am I, if not more than you.

The first client said she was mentally prepared that I would not take up her case when she contacted me. This is a very bewildering mindset. If you are very keen to seek my service to help your family, ,why would you do something to screw it up?

Also, did you think I enjoy being loggerheads with money? 😄

If you can treat me so carelessly, you can easily treat others the same way too.

My job is to teach you how to move the obstacles away from your life, so that you can have a smoother development ahead.

This obstacle, simply put, is your bad habit.
Your bad habit forms your character, which establishes your destiny and goes on to create your future.

If you are unwilling to move this obstruction away, you will always face the same problems and sink into a vicious cycle. The problem never gets solved and you are unable to break free from the trajectory of your original destiny.

I am not an ordinary Feng Shui practitioner. What I can give you is not just a temporary tranquliser, for that does not cure the problem at its root. I am capable of telling you at what point in time your Destiny fell sick and the antidote to resolving it all.

However, if you are very used to making use the time and trust of others for your own convenience, and see nothing wrong with that, I am truly sorry. I am a bad choice for you. Please seek another more qualified Master.
