【36年後：Cobra Kai 再續 Karate Kid 前緣】

睇美劇，人人睇《Queen's Gambit》咁高級？我就偏偏低低哋，睇《Cobra Kai》。點解？

首先，潮流興懷舊80年代。君不見炒股炒 GameStop，多數人集中討論「大衛戰勝歌利亞」的散戶與對沖基金之戰，但也有人留意到這些社交媒體散戶捧的，多是「懷舊」股，還有AMC（電影院線）、Blackberry、Nokia 等之流。《Cobra Kai》來自80年代經典《Karate Kid》，有誰未睇過？哈，睇《Cobra Kai》，有入貨 GME 嘅 feel！

第二，竟然有名家介紹！疫情下有人日日幾個鐘頭玩 Clubhouse，我都係比較鍾意聽 podcast、webinar，學到唔少嘢。其中一個「飛佛」，係紐約時報 Kara Swisher 嘅 Sway，佢講科技、娛樂為主，之前訪問 Netflix 全球電視副總裁時，已經「表態」係《Cobra Kai》fan 屎，最近重訪問埋The Karate Kid 本尊 Ralph Macchio，點可以唔關注一下！

講《Cobra Kai》，要先講《Karate Kid》，電影拍咗三集，分別喺1984、1986同1989推出，第一集係經典，第二集主角去沖繩異國風情創出系列最高票房，第三集可以不理，其實仲有1994年女版《The Next Karate Kid》，勉強冇幸福，慘不忍睹（不過女主角Hilary Swank卻後來成為影后喎）。（其實仲有2010年Will Smith為咗捧個仔Jaden而監製嘅reboot，搬咗去大陸，師傅變咗成龍，空手道變咗 kungfu，delete 吧！）而《Cobra Kai》就承接《Karate Kid》最初兩個主角三十幾年後今日嘅事，徒弟變師傅，班中學生細路就繼續打落去！

《Karate Kid》係好 formula 嘅 teen movie，中學生爭女，被欺凌、瘦孟孟嘅𡃁仔，去學空手道，打贏惡霸，黑白分明，主角係好人，對手梗係壞人，加上上世紀80年代日本經濟起飛，收買不少美國資產，美國人當年都幾崇日，搵個日本師傅 Pat Morita，有《星球大戰》Yoda 大師 feel，一路拍咗四集都係佢，可惜佢喺2005年逝世，電視版無佢份了。

點 formula 都好，work！唔 work 嘅2010年成龍嗰集，差啲話拍續集，好彩無，但監製包括 Will Smith 就搵返頭三集《Karate Kid》男主角 Ralph Macchio，同埋佢嘅老對頭，當年蝦蝦霸霸嘅死靚仔 William Zabka，拍電視再 fight 落去，仲 work！2018年第一季、2019年第二季《Cobra Kai》，都喺 YouTube 播，後來 Netflix 買咗，第三季今年2021年一月上架，第四季嚟緊，每季十集，每集半小時，好快睇完！

當年世界好簡單，男主角梗係好人，對手梗係衰人，不過，《Cobra Kai》就較多以 William Zabka 飾演嘅角色出發，其實佢都唔係咁壞，細個時血氣方剛，鬥咗嬲咗三十幾年，十幾歲到五十幾歲，其實幾幼稚。不過，唔幼稚，又點懷舊？咁先好睇。上一代鬥到下一代，啲仔女同啲同學繼續互片，然後啲細路好人會變壞人，「成魔」後又從返良，好似《星戰》Kylo Ren，第三季最後兩個主角阿叔重遇初戀情人後，聯手抗敵，下季同真正大壞蛋班𡃁再戰空手道大賽，邊個贏唔重要，重要係過程嘛，搵故嚟講，先至過癮！

懷舊迷請留意，頭兩集電影女主角，分別係 Elisabeth Shue 同日裔嘅 Tamlyn Tomita，當年喺1984同86年係佢哋 debut 作，都係首次登上銀幕，兩人大概對 Karate Kid 系列都有點感情吧，會分別喺電視第三、第二季現身，當年兩位真係可愛美少女，而家都咁有味道，keep得好好，擘大眼唔好錯過！不過，有點感慨嘅，係第二季有一集搵返當年電影中四個金髮死𡃁仔聚舊，主角之外另外三個已經係光頭阿伯嘅樣，其中一人劇情話佢有絕症就快唔得，原來呢位 Rob Garrison，後來真係2019年因病走咗，拍埋呢集，應該真係為佢做定紀念遺作，有心。

將三十幾年前嘅原角以原班人馬重現，卅幾年前個反派死𡃁仔 William Zabka，而家雖帶點滄桑但算有型，而 Ralph Macchio 更加今年就登六，仍然 babyface，滿足哂一代 baby boomers 滿足自我型像，好似睇返自己同班老友咁，久唔久 flashback show 返頭兩集電影片段，加上 Journey、REO Speedwagon、Foreigner 等80年代 classic rock，無得輸啦。

睇《Cobra Kai》勝在唔駛用腦，不如荷里活話埋俾我哋知，卅幾年後嘅《Footloose》同《Flashdance》而家點呢？OK OK，適可而止，算了吧。

The movie introduces a new kind of action hero, where six individuals from all around the globe, each the very best at what they do, have been chosen not only for their skill but for a unique desire to delete their pasts to change the future. The team is brought together by their leader (which is Ryan Reynolds of course), whose sole mission in life is to ensure that, while he and his fellow operatives will never be remembered, their actions and their impact on the world, damn sure will.
