I didnt remind her that Meimei can actually return home on her own already because I knew that the little sister would be secretly pleased that Jiejie came to fetch her. So the big girl took an umbrella, put on her mask and skipped to the school. She ended up waiting for over 15 minutes because she was patiently waiting outside the gate while the sister was waiting inside the school and hidden from her view, but soon afterwards, the two of them came home together, all sweaty, all hot, all happy.I thought about the period where these two would constantly bicker and get on each others nerves. It was a time when they argued frequently and I wondered if they would ever be the loving pair of sisters that I had hoped they would be. Its funny but now that the little brother is growing up and tends to bully them at times, these two have kind of stopped bickering with each other even though they still take turns to fight it out with the boy.Its like they have found a way to unite and bond, they show girl power, they play self-invented games, they share with each other on happenings in school, they sit at the same study table, they help each other with homework, they have private conversations every night at bedtime, and they share sister secrets that they wouldnt tell anyone, not even me at times.The eldest was telling me recently 我很久没有跟妹妹吵架了 (I havent quarrelled with Meimei in a long time) which made me realise how true that is and I am so glad and relieved to see that they are growing closer as the years pass.姐妹情谊永不变，懂吗? ❤ May you two always love, protect, care for and be thankful to have each other. Happy 13th Birthday to my sweetest Didi. You have the biggest, most loving & kindest heart. You always ALWAYS want to help the ones in need. You tear up when you see homeless ppl, elderly or sick elderlies, abandoned or sick pets etc etc.
Once a parent from school emailed me and thanked me that you stood up for her younger son to bullies.
You always try your best to take care of Mama when I need you. I love getting your big hugs (which you are getting heavier) and seeing your big smile. You always love to laugh and bring silliness to the family. You are easy going, polite, forgiving and love to do anything fun (like chess, skateboard, wakesurf, video games, read, legos, cook and sooo much more!)
You have AMAZING natural talent (physical, artistic and musical), but remember not to take it for granted and practice is the key. Like any parent/child relationship, we get into problems with homework, focus, time management and responsibilities. I hope that entering your teens, you can improve on those. I want you to always be healthy, happy, confident and make responsible decisions. I Love you more than words can express. Love you DiDi ❤️
