Writing has always been the platform for me to release stress and calm myself after a bad day. And it’s one of the many things that makes me feel alive, mostly because my writer persona is a completely different person and I get to be myself. Completely away from the strings tied to reality.

Recently, I figured out there are many things that make me feel alive too. For instance, watching @ashyy_edward & @durgathani ‘s make up tutorial has brought a whole different kind of feeling alive to me. It inspires me to explore colors and been figuring out my own words to describe these colors. A whole new concept of writing indeed - that again helped me to keep the passion burning inside! @gaithry.mk ‘s posts are just so beautiful that it instantly brings a smile on my face when I come across them; knowing that little things in life bring immense happiness to one makes me feel alive ⭐️

Also, @keeracakedherface ‘s funny intake on her daily shenanigans - made me laugh, giggle in the middle of many serious situations. I connect with her stories and understand, well I am not dead inside 😆.

@sreejhanani ‘s inspirational posts sometimes make me feel alive because I tend to understand better the depth meaning of life. We are all learning, right and I’m glad there souls like her who never shy from sharing best posts! And I cannot miss @ahilla_g appreciation towards aesthetically pleasing things. Her picture makes me feel alive as it feeds my curiosity and ends up staring at them - making hundreds of stories in my head.

There are many people on social media that occasionally post kinds of stuff that bring joy to me & activates my curious minds. Unknowingly, they make me feel alive 💕

Many people always ask me the same question, “why are you so addicted with yoga?”, my answer is, yoga is like your partner, the love of your life, when u fall in love with yoga, it’s like how u fall in love with your loved one, u go through the different kinds of process during the knowing and loving each other, no matter how hard, how painful it will be, always remember to smile and listen to your body, listen to your heart, inhale and exhale softly, every moment you get to know each other more and more. This is how I live with Yoga, I bring it in to my lifestyle, it is part of my life, Namaste. 🙏🏼💕

This is an English cover of "Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana" (The Only Flower in the World), a well-known song performed by Japanese boy band SMAP (founded in 1988 and disbanded just last year in 2016), with lyrics by singer-songwriter Noriyuki Makihara.

While I usually create my own translations, there was already a fantastic English version of this song by Hiromi De Young (YouTube linked below in the credits), and a great translation of the chorus by Nelson Babin-Coy (channel also linked). I used my favorite parts of each of these and made a few of my own changes.

I hope this song's message of acceptance and uniqueness reaches a larger audience through my cover.

*Note: As usual, most of the translation is very close to the original meaning, but the second pre-chorus (the verse starting with "I saw a small flower...") is actually quite different from the original. However, I loved these lyrics so much that I kept them :)

The original meaning of the verse in Japanese is:
I didn't even know his name
But he gave me a smile that day
Just like a flower that was blooming
In a place where nobody would notice it

今日は、昨年解散したSMAPの「世界に一つだけの花」を英語で歌ってみました♪

今回の英語詞はいつもと違って他人の訳詞を使わせていただきました。Hiromi De Youngによる素晴らしい英訳とNelson Babin-Coyによるサビ部分の素敵な英訳に、自分の変更を少し入れて歌わせていただきました。（お二人のYouTubeチャンネルへのリンクは下記のクレジットに記載しました。）

私のカバーを通じて、他人に対する寛容さと個性の大切さという、この曲のメッセージがより多くの人に伝わると嬉しいです。Enjoy!

※ちなみに、この英訳はいつものようにかなり原曲の歌詞に近いのですが、2番目のＢメロ（「I saw a small flower」から始まるところ）だけが原曲の意味とかなり離れています。それでも、ここの英語詞があまりにも素敵だったのでそのままにしました(^^)/

*レシピ*
１．食パン（6枚切り）をハート型（幅8センチ強）で抜く。
２．オーブントースターなどでトーストする。（我が家は魚焼きグリルで2分）
３．薄くサラダ油をひいたフライパンに２の外枠だけを入れ、中に卵を割り入れる。大さじ1の水を加えフタをし、中火で2分ほど焼く。
４．３をお皿に移し黄身に海苔やケチャップで顔のデコをする。ハート型トーストも添える。

All you need to do is cut out a heart shape in white bread and crack an egg inside while frying. With just that you can give your whole family a smile in the morning! Try giving the egg different kinds of expressions. You can also add ham to the bottom of the bread for a delicious ham and egg twist.

*Recipe*
1. Cut out a heart shape from white bread. You should try to use thick slices of white bread (around 8cm) if avaliable
2. Toast the bread in an oven toaster (we grilled the bread for 2 minutes)
3. Add a little oil to a frying pan, add the toast without the middle and crack and egg inside.
4. Add 1 tbsp of water to the frying pan and cover with a lid; cook at medium heat for about 2 minutes
5. Plate and use seaweed or ketchup to decorate the egg. You can also add the heart you cut out from the middle.
