Tốt nghiệp ĐH chuyên ngành QTKD - khoa Marketing, với 10 năm kinh nghiệm trong ngành Marketing và phụ trách về Digital Marketing của các công ty Việt Nam, agency nước ngoài lẫn start-up đến từ Châu Âu, Úc, Đài Loan... Sau đây là loạt câu hỏi mở bát: Marketing là gì? Làm Marketing là làm gì? Marketer là ai? Công việc mỗi ngày của Marketer là gì? Học Marketing sau này có dễ kiếm việc không? Lương của ngành Marketing cao hay thấp? Vân vân và mây mây...
Thú thật là đã 10 năm theo nghề nhưng mỗi lần anh ba chị mẹ hỏi đến công việc thì mình đều ngắn gọn trả lời là con làm quảng cáo haha. Còn quảng cáo là làm gì thì để bố mẹ tự suy diễn. Mà thường suy diễn của phụ huynh là đi phát tờ rơi, đi làm bảng hiệu quảng cáo, khá hơn tí là làm ra mấy cái clip quảng cáo giờ vàng xem phim mỗi tối á.
Bởi vì ngành Marketing quá rộng, quá nhiều phân khúc ngách, để hiểu sâu hiểu kĩ về từng mảng thì mỗi mảng ngành lại mất cả tuần để nói cũng chưa hết. Nhưng lần này phá giới, cố gắng nói bao quát nhất cho các bạn để khi cùng ngồi với bố mẹ chọn trường, chọn ngành có thể giải thích lưu loát hơn cho phụ huynh về hướng đi tương lai của bản thân.
- Marketing là gì?
Marketing được dịch sang tiếng Việt là Tiếp thị - rút gọn của cụm từ Tiếp cận thị trường. Làm Marketing là làm mọi cách, mọi phương thức để kết nối, thu hút khách hàng đến với thương hiệu/sản phẩm và duy trì mối liên hệ tốt đẹp với khách hàng năm này qua tháng nọ.
VD: ba đời nhà bạn bán nước sâm giải nhiệt vỉa hè, đến đời bạn, quyết định mạnh tay chi tiền để làm marketing, đưa tên tuổi nước sâm nhà mình trở nên lớn mạnh hơn. Sau đó ôm mộng nhượng quyền thương hiệu, mở rộng chi nhánh ra khắp các quận huyện, tỉnh thành. Vậy làm gì bây giờ với đống tiền được cấp để làm marketing đây?
- Làm Marketing là làm gì?
Nghiên cứu thị trường: đi rảo khắp phường xem nguyên khu vực quanh nhà và khu vực lân cận có bao nhiêu xe nước sâm, bao nhiêu tiệm bán nước sâm mặt tiền hoành tráng.
+Phân khúc thị trường: xác định xem dời thứ ba của mình là tiếp tục bán nước sâm vỉa hè hay mở tiệm, có muốn nâng tầm nước sâm lên ngang hàng KOI của thế giới trà sữa hông.
+Định vị thương hiệu: quyết định upgrade hàng nước sâm lên thành tiệm lớn thì phải làm logo nè, nghĩ slogan nè. Cái logo làm sao mà người ta dễ nhìn dễ nhớ, nhìn phát đoán được luôn mình bán nước sâm. Nghe slogan cái là thuộc, muốn mát gan giải nhiệt là khách nhớ liền tới tiệm mình.
+Phân tích độ cạnh tranh: bán kính theo quận, thành phố, toàn quốc có bao nhiêu tiệm nước sâm fancy như mình, decor quán đẹp hơn mình hông, đẹp hơn chỗ nào, giá nước sâm nhà người ta bao nhiêu, hương vị khác biệt, bao bì bắt mắt hông... đó xuống ngày cắm cọc quán người ta để mà khảo sát cho kĩ vô.
+Lên chiến lược tiếp thị & các chính sách ưu đãi: khai trương tiệm nước sâm mua 3 tặng 1, đặt qua app giao đồ ăn thì giảm 30k cho đơn hàng 100k, mùa mưa mua nước sâm tặng áo mưa, chạy fb ads, liên hệ Hot Facebookers/Instagramers đến tiệm nước sâm chụp hình check-in, review... suy nghĩ cẩn thận cái nào làm trước, ưu đãi nào làm sau, hay chơi lớn, quất chạy cùng lúc rồi hết vốn, đóng cửa tiệm sớm nha quý vị. Xài tiền phải nghĩ kĩ.
+Hoạch định ngân sách marketing: cộng chi phí tất tần các thứ cần làm cho tiệm nước sâm là nhiêu đây, bốc alo gọi ba má hỏi xem làm marketing 1 tỉ, ba má cấp vốn hông. Ba má ừ phát là đời nở hoa, còn bảo tốn tiền quá, làm xong mà hổng hiệu quả thì sao? Vậy là phải nhờ đến khâu cuối, đem report về số má rõ ràng rành mạch cho ba má yên tâm.
+Đo lường hiệu quả chiến dịch: soft-opening đi phát tờ rơi, mở loa, chạy fb ads, liên kết với app đặt thức ăn giảm sập sàn thì ngày bán được bao nhiêu ly nước sâm? Trừ đi tiền chạy quảng cáo, khuyến mãi, thuê nhân viên, tiền mặt bằng... thì lời bao nhiêu? Cộng trừ nhân chia viết ra rồi trình cổ đông bự nhất cuộc đời là anh ba chị mẹ thẩm định. Số về dương thì chúc mừng bạn, số âm thì cổ đông cắt vốn, quay về bán vỉa hè nhé.
- Marketer là ai? Công việc mỗi ngày của Marketer là gì?
Marketer là những người làm việc trong ngành Marketing – ngành quảng cáo tiếp thị. Công việc mối ngày của Marketer tuỳ theo độ lớn nhỏ của công ty, của tính chất sản phẩm sẽ khác nhau nhưng mục tiêu chung nhất là làm sao để khách hàng biết đến tiệm nước sâm nhà mình càng nhiều càng tốt và duy trì mối liên hệ gắn bó với khách ruột, khách qua đường.
- Học Marketing sau này có dễ kiếm việc không?
Công ty nào cũng cần phải làm Marketing, làm quảng cáo thì mới bán được hàng nên các bạn nói xem, độ rộng của thị trường việc làm quảng cáo có to bự hông chứ. Nhưng nhân lực thì năm nào cũng thiếu, điển hình mùa cao điểm này đang có hơn 4,000 vị trí trong ngành cần tuyển chỉ tính trên 1 website tuyển dụng. Nên vô học lẹ lẹ rồi ra làm đi nè.
- Lương của ngành Marketing cao hay thấp?
Thời gian đầu đi làm intern, làm executive, những vị trí ở vạch xuất phát mức lương cơ bản chỉ đủ sống nhưng bù lại là cơ hội học hỏi, gia tăng kinh nghiệm cùng khối lượng kiến thức trời bể cần hấp thu. May mắn vợt được anh chị mentor có tâm có tầm thì đỡ được hẳn bao nhiêu năm tu luyện. Hãy cho bản thân 3-5 năm “đi làm không vì lương”, ý đây không phải là làm miễn phí nha quý vị, đừng bao giờ bán rẻ sức lao động của bản thân mà hãy bán khi được giá, trọng điểm của thời gian đầu đi làm này hãy đặt mục tiêu là tích luỹ kinh nghiệm và kiến thức chuyên môn. Làm tốt ở giai đoạn này thì tin rằng với nền tảng các bạn đã tích luỹ, mức lương nghìn USD không quá khó để đạt được.
- Kỹ năng cần phải có:
Khi thời đại 4.0 đang xoay vần, lướt net cũng là một nghệ thuật. Tối ưu hoá tìm kiếm trên Google (SEO) để thương hiệu/sản phẩm của bạn được search một phát trên thanh tìm kiếm Google là xuất hiện ở Top đầu ở trang đầu tiên, Blog Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Video Marketing, Influencers/KOLs... tất cả những điều này đều diễn ra trên internet. Hãy tận dụng thời gian online để ý kĩ hơn cách các thương hiệu, các công ty đang gieo rắc sản phẩm vào đầu các bạn.
Học ngoại ngữ có tầm quan trọng như thế nào thì không cần phải nói rồi nhỉ? Môi trường công sở, những cuộc họp, hội thảo với đối tác, khách hàng hoặc nội bộ đều cần đến nền tảng tiếng Anh. Xịn hơn thì trang bị thêm 1 ngoại ngữ khác như tiếng Hoa, Hàn, Nhật, Tây Ban Nha... nằm trong tay 3 ngoại ngữ là tiếng Việt, tiếng Anh, tiếng X cũng là điểm cộng và tăng lợi thế cạnh tranh.
Khả năng chụp ảnh, quay video, chỉnh sửa ảnh/video cơ bản hay đơn giản hơn là chút xíu thẩm mĩ để tự chơi với các công cụ chỉnh ghép có sẵn như Canva, Tiktok...
Khả năng chủ động quan sát, tò mò thích khám phá. Đừng ngại hỏi, đừng ngại sai lầm.
