做全身检查，打预防针、壁虱问题、结扎牙齿的卫生也很重要（拨了两颗蛀牙).....
We have an addition to our family, @snowball_ki_ki which we got from @derrick_tan. She has a cute face and eyes that just melt one's heart! Her eyes melted my heart and I had to bring her home. She is a lovely 5 1/2 year old West Highland Terrier.

She was a breeder dog before being taken in by Derrick. She has given birth 3-4 times before and kept in a cage her whole life. At first she did not know how to walk properly as she did not walk often, but after a while, she got the hang of it and it walking much briskier now. It has been about 2 weeks since she joined our family but she has not barked once. She is attention seeking - every time I pet @pepper_niu_niu, she will come and lick my hands, wanting me to pet her.

We brought her to the vet for a checkup and the doctor, Dr Rachel @springveterinarycare , said she had two teeth that were rotten so they had to be extracted. It is important that their rotten teeth be removed as it will do good for the dog and affect it's health adversely. If the dogs teeth are dirty, bring it to a vet to get them clean as the dogs will be healthier. The vet said it would be better to sterilise her early so that night, we left her at the vet to get sterilised. The doctor took her blood for a blood test and by the next day, she was done. One of her ears has an infection that occurred early on, but it was not tended to, so she just shook it off but it got bad and her ear got inflated with water and shrivelled up a bit. We can't do anything now but it is still okay as it does not affect her.

曾被虐待及疏忽照顧的大頭踏上尋家之路～
大頭，一隻正宗拉布拉多🐶🐶，卻由細到大都被農場主人困於狹小範圍內「生活」，還要被鎖上一條短短頸帶，長達六年之久⋯⋯😢😢😢。

義工見到實在於心不忍，於是希望可以為大頭尋家，當義工帶大頭到診所檢查，郤發現大頭中了牛蜱及心絲蟲、耳仔又發炎沖血😱😱😱，情況危險~ 場主知道後，一口拒絕支付醫療費用；義工只好硬著頭皮為大頭繳付昂貴嘅醫療費😰😰😰，現時大頭嘅牛蜱已經痊癒，接下來就是心絲蟲同耳仔做手術及絕育。

由於大頭被人長期囚禁，沒有舆其他人同🐶🐶接觸，所以義工將大頭送咗去training school，除左可以學習social skills之外，以助佢被人領養，大頭仲可以開開心心、自由自在咁跑嚟跑去，擁有一隻🐶🐶生活最基本條件，由於大頭現時仍在training school生活，本會除要支付昂貴嘅醫療費外，仍要支付training school費用，所以希望有❤️人可以資助一下大頭training school費用，以減輕本會沉重負擔。***D 50

於此同時，亦希望可以為大頭展開新一頁，找一個真正的家，一個充滿愛❤️、承諾一生不離不棄嘅家。

Abused, Abandoned, But He Still Loves You!

Tai Tau ("Big Head") is a lovely Labrador that grew up on a farm in Hong Kong. One would have thought that he should have had a lovely time, I mean, how many dogs get to live on a farm in Hong Kong?! (How many farms are there in Hong Kong to begin with?) But this is no fairy tale (for now) -- for six years, TT had been trapped in a small area on a short leash. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, the volunteers managed to convince TT's owner to give him up and sent him to us. But that's also when we found out how rough a time TT had at the farm -- during his first (ever) visit to the vet, the vet told us that TT was hit with (1) tick fever; (2) heartworm; and (3) an ear infection/inflammation. Any of these could have been fatal for a dog, lucky that we caught them early!

Obviously, the previous owner, after abandoning TT, refused to pay for the treatment, which means that we have to dig into our funds for TT's treatment. TT is currently receiving medical treatment on all three fronts and is steadily recovering. At the same time, we have sent him to training school to make sure he's ready for a new chapter in his life.

TT is around six years old and weights approximately 100 pounds. At the training school, we realize that he gets along with other dogs very well, big or small (take a look at the pic he took with his lovely girlfriend!) Despite the hell he went through in the past six years, he's still a warm and loving dog! If he hasn't given up, why wouldn't you show him some love? Please take this big boy home and tell everybody there's still a happy ending to every fairy tale!

我們家本來已經是「老人院」；九個狗狗之間有五個都已經過了14歲。但現在我們家突然變成「醫院」；六個狗狗病了。照片裡這個是最老的，患有耳子炎、腸胃炎、耳水不平衡。另外四個因為吃了贈給我們的狗糧就出現嚴重敏感和皮膚的問題。最後還有一個現在貧血，需要盡快查到原因。個個都有藥吃 :-( Our 'old peoples home' has suddenly turned into a hospital. 6 of our 9 dogs are sick. The one in the photo is our oldest. He has an ear infection, I.T. infection and a balance problem. Four of our other dogs developed a serious allergic problem after eating dog food that was given to us. Their skin is in very bad shape. And one other dog is anaemic with possible internal bleeding. We have to find the cause asap. They're all on medication. OUCH!!!
