【like a bull in a china shop】
要數中國最美輪美奐的器物,無法不提起瓷器。中國是最早製作瓷器的產地,可追溯至新石器時代,中國文化離不開瓷器,中國的英文名字「#China」,指的就是精製陶瓷器,早在宋代,中國陶瓷通過海上絲綢之路出口至東南亞、乃至歐洲到北非。
今天到歐洲旅遊,也會發現不同的歐洲大宅中放置著中國的瓷器,例如在德國柏林「夏洛滕堡宮」就收藏了皇后夏洛特的珍藏——琳瑯滿目的中國瓷飾品。
之後將會為大家介紹不同的瓷器,今天要說的卻是一句非常有趣,與瓷器有關,在歐洲廣為人知的諺語。德國人常說「大笨象走入瓷器店」,英國人又會說like a bull in a china shop(公牛走入瓷器店),你又知不知道答案是甚麼?

==>You are familiar enough with the data. Give us the information off the top of your head.
<3 14. catch your/my/his eye W – something or someone that has a visual attraction for you, can be a written description as well. Really is often used to introduce this idiom.

==>I sent my application in late and I think I missed the boat.

==>Be careful, I think the boss is fed up with us today
<3 21. Once in a blue moon – happens very rarely.
==>A student will get a 9 in the IELTS writing test once in a blue moon.
<3 22. white elephant W – an unprofitable investment, something that is large and unwieldy and is a nuisance and/or expensive to maintain.
==>That new motorbike I bought is really a white elephant, it is expensive and too big for these streets.
