同時，人助之外更要自助。美日相繼來援，更讓我們遺憾於中央政府未能及早準備。此刻在感謝外，仍應緊盯自購疫苗的交貨時間，並積極協助民間團體、企業捐贈疫苗的努力。同時，國產疫苗應加速進行三期臨床試驗，讓人民能更安心。
此外，面對變種病毒來襲，更需要記取教訓，積極部署二代疫苗的採購或代工。充足的疫苗，絕不能單靠國際援助。

A big thank you to the USA for its assistance! We are moved by all the help we have received during Taiwan’s recent pandemic outbreak. The USA’s swift and unwavering extension of assistance further showcases the friendship between Taiwan and the US.
At the same time, besides outside help, we need to help ourselves. The US and Japan have both come to aid us; regretfully, the central government failed to prepare earlier. Now, besides expressing gratitude, the central government should still focus on the delivery timetable of its own vaccine purchases and proactively assist the efforts by civil organizations and businesses to acquire vaccines for donation. Domestic vaccines should be simultaneously expedited towards phase three clinical trials, allowing the people feel more at ease in their safety.
Furthermore, facing the invasion of mutated variants of the virus, we must remember to provide guidance and proactively deploy the second round of vaccine procurement or subcontract work. We cannot rely solely on international assistance for a sufficient supply of vaccines.
