Farewell Lunch for His Excellency Dr Emir Hadzikadunic
After my presentation at the AI-Board Ready seminar for all the board directors of one of the local banks in Malaysia in early morning yesterday, I rushed to attend this farewell lunch at ISTAC, IIUM in Damansara. The idea of seminar in early morning is to share with all board directors how AI can help them in making fast and right decisions in board room deliberation.
The lunch was essentially to honour H.E. Dr Emir, the Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to Malaysia. Interestingly, he is one of the alumni of IIUM. He studied at IIUM in early 1990s back in PJ campus.
Malaysia was a role model in helping the European immigrants to Malaysia in those days. Malaysia was so sensitive enough to help the young Bosnians to study in IIUM then. Alhamdulilah, all of them now are the jewels in Bosnia. Not only Malaysia (and IIUM) provided the necessary training for them, but also, more importantly, trained them to go back to serve their beloved nation after a devastating sectarian and racial war in the Balkan region. They were involved in nation building after the graduation in no time.
H.E. Dr Emir is one of these Bosnian students. I was the Deputy Dean at the law faculty during those days in PJ Campus. We had to deal with Bosnian students wuth care and diligently as they were coming from the war zone. Luckily, they are very strong and determined to succeed.
H.E. Dr Emir will be leaving to Bosnia after serving as the Ambassador for a number of years. He is also an academic teaching International Politics.
We would like to wish H.E. Dr Emir and his family continued success and blessings. We are certain that Malaysia is always close to his heart and the hearts of many Bosnians who once upon the time spent their critical time in Malaysia learning and assimilating with the culture and values of multiracial Malaysia. Surely, they have also enjoyed nasi lemak, roti canai and nasi goreng.
Nation building is the most exciting and rewarding endevour.

- Depart to Tioman on board fast air-conditioned ferry.
- Upon arrival, you will check-in to your room.

- Open water theory class
Day 2
- Breakfast will be served at 08:30 hours
- Dive no 1 (pool dive)
-Dive no.2 (shore dive) at 11:00 hours
- lunch will be served at 13:00 hours.
- Dive no 3 (shore dive) at 15:00 hours
- Dinner will be served at 20:00 hours.
- Open water theory class.
Day 3
- Breakfast will be served at 08:00 hours
- Dive no 4 & 5 (boat dive)
- Dinner will be served at 20:00 hours
- Open water theory class.
Day 4
- Breakfast at 08.00 hours
- Check out from Chalet and bid farewell to the enchanting Tioman Island by fast ferry.
- Reach home safely with sweet memories.
