創業40年、町の食堂で頂く愛情たっぷりオリジナルメニュー！静岡県賀茂郡松崎町『きくや食堂』に伺いました。創業から40年以上、ご夫婦が二人三脚でやってこられた地元の方から人気の食堂です。はじめは近くにある高校の学生さん向けに「カレーライス」「キャベツ焼きそば」「たまご丼」の3品からスタートしたそう。その後中華街で修行されたご主人により中華料理がレパートリーに加わり、安くてボリュームあるもの、を意識されているそうです(お店HPより)。今回食べたのは常連さんからのリクエストでメニューに加わったという「カツカレー焼きそば」！常連さんを大事にされてきたからこそのオリジナルメニュー、早速ご覧ください！

40 years old, an original menu with lots of love that you can get at the cafeteria in the town! We visited "Kikuya Shokudo" in Matsuzaki Town, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture. It is a popular dining room from the locals who have been married with a couple for more than 40 years since its establishment. At first, it seems that it started with 3 items of "curry rice", "cabbage fried noodles" and "egg bowl" for high school students nearby. After that, the husband who trained in Chinatown added Chinese food to the repertoire, and he seems to be conscious of cheap and voluminous food (from the shop HP). This time I ate "Katsu Curry Yakisoba" which was added to the menu at the request of regulars! Please take a look at the original menu, which is because you have taken good care of your regulars!

Why yes I do like modelling
I originally planned to talk about why I like my job and the positive factors of the industry, but I got a bit sidetracked lol
Asian diaspora is something that's very close to my heart and a topic that my friends and I have constantly discussed between ourselves for years. I think many of us have underlying, unresolved feelings - be it positive or negative - regarding our childhood and parents despite it not being a popular topic in mainstream media.
I hope it doesn't seem like I'm "airing out my (family's) laundry" or so by posting this; I just wish to share with my fellow first gens and Asians that your hardship and feelings are perfectly valid as personally, I felt that a lot of my teenage years were full of undirected anger.
