【給自己一個機會紅起來】❤️
Give Yourself A Chance To Shine
Never try, never know.
我一生人經歷了那麼多起起落落,老實告訴大家,命好起來時,心豁然開朗時,那種感覺真的很爽。不信,你試一下。

If the energies in the Universe can be categorised, they would come in the 5 forms of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth.
All manifestations, be it things or events, in this world falls under these 5 elements, and each and every one of our Bazi is the combination of these 5 elements. The interaction between these elements in our Bazi and those in our circumstances will result in myriad of happenings, good fortunes or otherwise.
My personal experience tells me that even though 2 person may have exactly the same Bazi, but their destinies may turn out different. Reasons being the discrepancy in their facial features, the meanings, tonality, character strokes and essence of their names.
The crux of reading your own destiny lies in uncovering which of the 5 elements is or are mandatory for you. This calls for plenty of practical experience. It is not simply doing simple math of plus, minus, multiply and divide. If this first step is wrong, the whole deck of cards will surely collapse.
After deciphering the correct element, the next step is do guide the client on how to use it to boost their energies in all aspects, from external clothing and living environment to what they eat so as to attract good tidings and ward off misfortunes. Frankly, if the client is uncooperative, the whole of point of Bazi analysis would have been lost.
To know how your future will unfold but behave like a sitting duck? That’s just like buying a movie ticket to watch a preview of your life drama, isnt it?
I had this thought after seeing so many clients: if one’s life is seemingly smooth sailing but one remains unhappy, such zombie-like existence is very painful.
During a typical Bazi analysis session, I would always recommend the client certain colours favourable to him or her to boost the luck. Never underestimate the power of colours. Each colour has its own elemental nature. I have used this successfully several times to help clients succeed at their job interviews, even during this pandemic period.
However as soon as I mentioned the red colour, reactions from my clients tended to be bigger than usual.
Why?
Such a bright colour?
My wife said she’s not used to me in this colour!
That’s like Chinese New Year everyday!
The previous master I consulted said so too, but I did not heed the advice.
My answer: if you have been wearing your same old colours for the past many years and getting not much favours from Lady Luck, why not give my suggestion a try?
There are many tones and shades of Red. Nobody is asking you to dress like a big red ang bao (red packet) everyday. Dressing black everyday doesn’t make you Justice Bao either.
Attached are testimonies from Miss A and Mr B after they went red.
Mr B. came to me in September for a follow-up consultation. When I saw him from afar, I was thinking why there wasn’t any sign of change in him. He even sported a sour face.
He told me that after seeing me in March, he had just bought some clothes in colours that were unfavourable to him. He couldn’t bear to throw them away, and his wife didn’t really support him wearing red either. He said his colleagues were all wearing darker colours.
I told him that those clothes he bought had already served him for several months and he could donate them away. That would not constitute wastage. His wife may have good intentions but your destiny is your own business and only you know your sufferings.
We ought to treat our destiny with the spirit of a scientist. If you don’t experiment, you will never know if my methods work. This experiment is a simple one, ask your wife to support you this once.
It’s only changing the colour of your clothes, not asking to change your wife. 😂
Rather than getting oneself in knots, I will always choose to take the first step. Never try, never know.
My life’s journey has been that of ups and downs. Frankly speaking, when the winds begin blowing in your sails, and lift your spirit, those emotions are exhilarating. Don’t believe me? Try it out yourself.

Thank you for the movie review.
Years from now, when Malaysian cinema has its place in the pantheon of the global kinoscape, many will remember #FlyByNight as one of the turning points when we mustered our courage and stepped into the abyss.
And what a step. Great script (first penned by the late Ivan Yeo), heartfelt performances, wrapped by a swath of bravado. And in a genre you'll not expect from Malaysian filmmakers.
Fly By Night isn't flawless (issues in editing and post-production are quite evident), but cutting through it all is a huge heart and balls to go with it.
There is sophistication and layering, yet down and dirty and visceral. Our pluralistic society at its most primal.
The storytelling has an easy confident air, presenting our polyglot society sans the pretentious. Languages and dialects morph into each other, ethnic languages switch tongues. Yet in all that diversity, everyone, ultimately, is compelled (or trapped?) by the same motivations blind to colour and creed - money, avarice, secrets, vengeance.
Fly By Night is wrapping up in Malaysian cinemas, you've got another week! And there's the inevitable appearance on SVOD and OTT in the near future.
But whatever it is, catch it before it flies.

Another great response to Shrey Bhargava's self righteous pity party. Every minority is invited to join! Come, let's blame the majority race for everything that's wrong in our lives, it is never our fault, it is because we are oppressed! Wow, so convenient!
Shrey has written another post boohooing about how racism (yawn), how minorities don't get roles easily in singapore, and how the Chinese are blind because we have privileged.
Cut your crap. If a Chinese director wants to make a movie about Chinese NS men, that's his fucking prerogative. If it features Indians or Malays as token characters, that's also his freedom and right. Why? You think every local movie needs to have an Indian main character then it's not considered racist is it?
In that case I ask... why are Bollywood movies full of only Indians? Why aren't one of the leads in 3 Idiots any race other than Indian?!!! Such an atrocity and blatant racism. Sure, Bollywood shows are in Tamil, but hey I don't care, this is as racist as The Voice asking for Chinese speakers! I don't care, include a Chinese mute character please, and he must not be a token role! Otherwise the director is racist! 🙄
Obviously like Donovan said there are privileges to being a majority race, a majority anything. That much is undeniable. While the Chinese in singapore should be mindful of consideration for all the other ethnic groups and always be respectful, but the automatic assumption that jobs be not only handed to you, but CREATED FOR you purely for the sake of your race isn't one of them.
Singapore is built on meritocracy.
Keep up your self victimizing charade and keep blaming society for your failures in life - you will find that soon nobody respects you.
And unlike the white liberals who have been indoctrinated with white guilt since their school days and think they have to pay for their ancestors' crime, you will find Singaporeans way less susceptible to your guilt tripping. Asians, including Indians and Chinese alike, don't subscribe to victim-playing. We work hard and succeed despite the odds - I suggest you get on with the program. Nobody owes you or your race a level playing field. Your whining rings hollow, since you exist in one of the most racially harmonious countries in the world, where the govt has taken careful steps to ensure equality for all the 4 main races.
Dear Shrey Bhargava,
As far as I can tell from your post, there was nothing racist about your Ah Boys to Men audition and I'll be kind enough to tell you and the 3000-odd people whom have shared your post why.
You were tasked to perform the role of a 'full blown Indian' and you have interpreted that as having to 'portray a caricature of my race' and being 'reduced to my accent'.
The casters were not racist and the element of racism here is non-existent because that was the role that is being demanded of you here, whether it was that of a Singaporean Indian, North Indian, British Indian or Red Indian.
Suppose Samuel L. Jackson had tried to audition for the role of Jack Dawson in Titanic, a part that really went to Leonardo DiCaprio. It is obvious that he would have been turned down because he was black. Now, is this not a clear-cut case of racial discrimination? Surely no one (maybe except that crazy Sangeetha) would be absurd enough to claim that the directors or scriptwriters of Titanic were racist and had "reduced" Jackson down to his skin colour?
That is because the role of Jack Dawson (may he rest in peace at the bottom of the Atlantic) is one of a white man.
Why is it somehow more 'wrong' for you to portray the role of a stereotypical Indian from India, than for Wang Wei Liang to portray the stereotypical Chinese gangster, or for Maxi Lim to portray the role of a stereotypical bootlicking yes-man recruit, or for Tosh Zhang to portray a stereotypical authoritative army Sergeant?
If Wang Wei Liang were to drop out of the Lobang King role right now and I be in line to audition for the role, I'd be similarly asked by the casting director to play the role of a 'full blown ah beng'.
That would mean me summoning out to the best of my abilities the most vicious, stereotypical characteristics of a Chinese 'ah beng'. I'd have to speak in subpar broken English, exercise a liberal use of dialect profanities and demonstrate an aptitude for violence in the face of problems.
I have no doubt in my mind that a lot of the ones whom are throwing support behind you right now would not similarly rally and call to arms in the same righteous manner for me because I had to depict a caricature of the stereotypical Chinese hooligan.
Yet what is the difference? Certainly not all Chinese 'ah bengs' are characterised with the same rebellious, malingering characteristics like that of Wang Wei Liang's character. I have done my National Service alongside some of them (in a god-forsaken rifleman unit no less), and most of them in fact are some of the most patriotic men I have ever seen.
Why is a racial stereotype anymore of a grievous injustice than the stereotype of an occupation, a cultural identity or any other form of stereotype? It is not.
If your objection is with being pigeonholed into a simplified, hackneyed image of a particular person, then you must similarly condemn all forms of stereotypes in film - not just stereotypes that are played along racial lines. And it is unnecessary for me to point out that stereotypes in the arts are ubiquitous in any and all forms.
In your follow-up post, you ramp up your distinct brand of illogic. You claim that it is wrong for the minority character to be of insignificance because this is a film that is a "SINGAPOREAN story".
But this begs the question. What defines being 'Singaporean'? Given that 40% of our population are comprised of foreigners and non-residents, isn't it just as wrong that these Filipinos, Indonesians, Japanese and Koreans are utterly unrepresented in Ah Boys to Men? Is it fair to stick to the 'Chinese, Malay, Indian' categorisation that in the first place, is a categorisation formulated on arbitrary standards by our government?
Is there any reason why your standard of what is 'Singaporean' should take priority over mine, or over the casting director's?
Yes, actors need jobs and it is certainly true that a racial minority would not enjoy the luxury of roles to pick from in comparison to one in the racial majority. But it is not clear WHY this is unfair, which is what you seem to me implying by "Minority actors do not have the privilege to pick and choose what to audition for".
Of course majorities benefit. The same can be said for people whom are right-handed, whom are tall, whom are lucky enough to be born with our five senses. When you lament that "Minority actors do not have the privilege to pick and choose what to audition for", you are no longer making an argument against racism, rather, you are making an argument against reality i.e., the racial proportion of our population.
I have observed this for some time among the young Singaporeans who are most active on social media. One of the most troubling cultural trends as of late is this idiotic penchant to leap at every slightest opportunity they get to call out racism, from the Toggle blackface issue and the Kiss92 incident to a Smartlocal video from last year.
Of course racism exists in Singapore (or anywhere else in the world for that matter), but reducing any and all issues down to race is not very helpful. There are far more productive ways to tackle discrimination. And that begins with changing the institutional framework of our society, such as the freedom of our press and media, so racial minorities are empowered to best represent their own unique cultures. Nit-picking on little details in the media is not one of them.
Like the Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman said: “One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results.” I commend your well-intentioned attempt to speak out against what you have perceived is 'racism', but your analysis is incorrect and your methods are in fact entirely retrogressive.
P.S. It was quite interesting to see how that Vimeo video on your wall provided a most comical caricature of Arabs being equated with bombs/terrorism. It appears that it is just your own racial identity that is most fragile, and that the rest of us must tread precariously around. I wonder if it was only I who cringed so hard?

2 Days 1 Night trip to Busan filled with lots of food and lots of fun! I added these pages into my travel diary. For the first spread, I made a clear laminated page with our trip schedule, you could use the same method with colour printed photos (but make sure your printer is carbon printed and not ink printed).

My Every Dolly Makeup Routine
Hey gummy bears! Finally I decided to wear makeup everyday, well 5 or 6 days a week, this means it's time for my every day makeup video!
I will show you each and every step of my makeup routine, it's just going to be the same steps I take every morning so I'm showing you the same thing I did yesterday morning and the day before and will do tomorrow, just now, on camera. Of course I could do a smexy smoky eye look or something really dramatic and let me tell you I tried but the thing is that my face and mind as well are still kind of young my face a femme fatale look isn't really what works for me, reminder, I tried, more than once! on a daily basis so thsi is why I came up with a quick and cute makeup routine (20 minutes only!) that looks cute and matches to my cute style of clothes and makes me feel more cute and brings me one step closer to surround me with everything cute! ^O^
LET'S GET STARTED.
I keep all my products for my everyday makeup together in this bag so I can keep the process quick and smooth.
Next I smoothen my complexion with a moisturiser. If I had a real moisturiser I would preferably use that but I don't really bother because it works and if it works I go with it. Now I've got really pale skin which means my purple panda eyes and red blotches make me look like I stepped out of a tim burton movie and since I don't want to give people the creeps I will have to even out my skin tone and for that I use a small, a small amount of pink concealer. Pink concealer is the best when I apply it under my eyes to cover the pruple and it also smoothens out any ruddy areas. Now that my face looks more human and less zombie I get to the main part which is a pearl sized drop of my precious liquid foundation. Since I have pale skin it impossible to find foundation that doesn't make look like like a snowman with an oompa loompa head. So if you have a skin tone that isn't common then 1 congrats you're not mainstream 2 go to a professional theatre store, because that is where I found this foundation. This is going to last me a very long time since I got the biggest bottle but I will only need to use a small pea sized drop, which I'll apply first with a makeup brush and then blend it into my skin with this round makeup spongy here. I used to use my fingers but now I think that a sponge is much softer and enables you to smoothly distribute the foundation. Now I see that there's still some visible redness around my nose and I still got some panda eyes, well, maybe baby panda and that's when my camouflage concealer get's into action. As the name already suggest the camouflage concealer is highly covering so I will only need to dab on a small amount on my problem zones, this is the easiest with a brush. And this is it, now I just need to set my foundation and for that I use a purple pigmented finishing powder . This type of powder is kind of hard to find I also just stumbled upon this for the first time in the that theatre makeup store and found that it goes really well with my skin, but it works with every skin shade trust me so it's quite the magic item I've got here and as you can when I apply it it doesnt look purple, but actually leaves my skin with a matt but bright finish. Magic purple powder!
And from now on things actually go really quick, I've got this huge makeup palette from which I will use light brown on my eyes and dark brown on the outer edge. I've also got my favourite cheek colour here which is shade of dusk rose and I apply it on my cheek apples somewhere close to my eyes. Now I don't need this palette anymore because I'm ready for the dreaded eyeliner part. Since this is an everyday look Im gonna keep the eyeliner low key and just line 2 thirds of my upper eyelid and end it with an existing but small wing which usually ends up looking bigger than supposed but whatever I'll cover it up mascara just there where used eyeliner because overdoing eyeliner and mascara doesn't look neat nor sweet. (phew) Now if I still don't feel exhausted I decide to put on fake eyelashes and circle contact lenses.
