Where is Jesus Now?
“Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24 WEB)
The day is coming whereby Jesus’ prayer request in the verse above will be fulfilled.
We, the church (bride of the Lamb) will be received by our heavenly bridegroom into His Father’s house.
How amazing it will be to live where Jesus is, to see His glory in person.
Did you know that even the apostles who have since fallen asleep in death are not yet exactly where Jesus is?
“In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.” (John 14:2-3 WEB)
Jesus resides with Abba God in the sanctuary that is on the Mount Zion in the Heavenly Jerusalem. That is the location of God’s throne.
The Jerusalem on earth is actually a miniature mirror image of the Jerusalem above. Even the layout is the same—God made sure this was so.
None of the saints are there in the sanctuary yet. Those who are dead in Christ are in a part of Heaven called Paradise which is the garden of God.
“I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I don’t know, or whether out of the body, I don’t know; God knows), such a one caught up into the third heaven. I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don’t know; God knows), how he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4 WEB)
In the original Greek, the word is Paradeison which means “a pleasure garden”. In Hebrew, the name is translated as “Gan Eden”, which is literally the Garden of Eden. Eden also means “pleasure”. Both the Greek and Hebrew agree that it is the Garden of Eden.
So that is where the Garden of Eden and the tree of life went! It was translated up to Heaven, protecting the tree of life from the world-destroying flood, and is now used as a waiting area for the saints.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.” (Revelation 2:7 WEB)
We see that this is true. The Holy Spirit testifies that the tree of life is now in the Paradise (Garden of Eden) in Heaven. The cherubim with fiery swords who guard the entrance to the garden do not stop the saints there from accessing the tree of life!
The dead in Christ are still waiting for the Rapture so that they can receive their glorified bodies and finally be where Jesus is.
If what I’m saying is not true, then Jesus would not have said to the apostles, “I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.”
We know that the apostles who heard these words spoken by Jesus have already fallen asleep in death.
This promise will be fulfilled at the Rapture. The Lord will come back, and in the air, He will receive us to Himself. The apostles and all the saints will receive glorified bodies, and we will finally be with Jesus!
These days, I find myself reading and re-reading the four gospels a lot because I love to read Jesus’ words and read about Him in action. Such a perfect, wonderful God-Man, and He is our Lord.

Imagine…
You manage a hedge fund and want to buy 1 million shares of ABC stock. You know support is at $100 and ABC is currently trading at $110.
Now if you were to buy ABC stock right now, you’ll likely push the price higher and get filled at an average price of $115 — that’s $5 higher than the current price.
So what do you do?
Since you know $100 is an area of support, chances are, there will be a cluster of stop loss underneath it (from traders who are long ABC stock).
So, if you could push the price lower to trigger these stops, there would be a flood of sell orders hitting the market (as buyers will exit their losing positions).
With the amount of selling pressure coming in, you could buy your 1 million shares of ABC stock from these traders which gives you a better average price.
In other words, if an institution wants to long the markets with minimal slippage, they tend to place a sell order to trigger nearby stop losses. This allows them to buy from traders cutting their losses, which offers them a more favourable entry price.
Go look at your charts and you’ll often see the market taking out the lows of support, only to trade higher subsequently.
Now you’re probably wondering:
“So how do I avoid it?”
Simple.
Set your stop loss a distance away from support to give it some buffer so your stop loss doesn’t get eaten too easily.
Here’s how…
- Identify the lows of support
- Find the current Average True Range (ATR) value and subtract 1 ATR from the lows of support
The idea is to define the current market’s volatility and then subtract it from the lows of support.
This way, you are giving your stop loss a buffer that’s based on the volatility of the markets (and not just some random number).
Pro Tip:
If you want a tighter stop loss, you can reduce your ATR multiple, like having 0.5 ATR instead of 1.
