Arghhhhh...so pissed at Air Canada! I'm flying back from Montreal to Toronto then LA. In Montreal I specifically asked the agent if I will need to get my luggage and re-check from domestic to international, she said no because it's a new policy and my luggage wil be checked through. Sure enough when I arrived in LA...NO luggage! I made a baggage claim with the agent in LA and instead of apologizing for their Montreal agent for the misinformation, she shrugged me off dismissively and told me it's not Air Canada's fault (who's fault is it?) so if I want my luggage I will have to come back to the airport for a pick up or pay a delivery fee of $29. She did give me a number to call if I have any complaints. I called. Got an guy with a foreign accent so heavy it's hard to understand. Told him my problems. Got put on hold while he consulted his supervisor. This is what he came back with: To claim my $29 delivery fee I have to write to AC's claim department in Quebec and send in 6 documentations! 6!! I kid you not! After they review my grievance and if they decide to pay me it will take them 4 to 6 weeks to issue a check! I'm a million mile frequent flyer, AC's Star Alliance Gold, and all I can say is Air Canada SUCKS!
