Dear runners,
We are very sorry to announce that ULTRA MAOKONG will not be held in April 2021.


親愛的跑友們，您們好
我們非常抱歉需要公布ULTRA MAOKONG將不會在2021年4月份舉行。我們近幾個月一直在尋找新會場（目前指南宮大雄寶殿正在維修中），並且因為疫情似乎更難詢問像學校或是類似大型場所的場地，其中我們聯繫好幾間學校機關及多次修改了活動計畫書及路線地圖...等等。
最終，雖然我們找到了不錯的場所，但所剩餘的報名及籌備時間不多了。我們擔憂在這樣倉促的時間內無法把ULTRA MAOKONG活動品質做到最好，而且，在疫情還不明朗狀況下，很有可能會受到限制，我們將宣布活動是否在夏季後舉行。
同時，我們正在做最後有關Cloud Ultra（58公里和72公里）最後的詳細資訊，並將在今年2月底開始報名。 Beast Runners活動報名系統更新版本，並移至 www.beast.run/event/

...We had difficulty finding a backup venue (Zhinan temple under construction) and Covid “ feer” did not allows to rent schools or similar public facilities.
In the end we negotiated a good place, but literally ran out of time for registrations. We also doubt Beast Runners can bring good quality event as Ultra Maokong is in short time and with high chance event may be restricted by authorities. We will announce if event will be held after summer.
Meanwhile we are finalizing details about Cloud Ultra (58km & 72km) and will try open registration at the end of February. Beast Runners 跑山獸 events registration system was upgraded and newly move to www.beast.run/event/

English Transcript :

Count your steps from Mong Kok and walk towards Prince Edward along Tung Choi Street… Hong Kong’s landmark Goldfish Street is just by your side.

Standing in the middle of the street, parallel tenement buildings with around six stories high are of your eyesight. The district has been escaping from reconstruction, and it has been one of the best old portraits of the city. You will see upper parts of the tenement buildings as homes for families, while numerous vendors gathered big and small aquariums on the street starting from 1970s.

It is not a must to visit a particular store, yet you shall just get yourself ready to wander slowly for the journey. Plastic bags in different sizes are sealed and filled with water, they are hanging on door frames to attract attention, colourful and energetic creatures are found in these mini aquariums. Trucks arrive and stop by, workers drop off goods while vendors peddle their wares… This is how the city shimmers and gets alive.

Recently, a well-groomed man has been visiting the street from time to time. He is always in suit, holding a briefcase on one hand, and carrying a cigarette on the other hand. Whenever he visits, he looks into the water through the glass. He stands and thinks deeply for hours, yet he never takes anything home.

I have been wondering what is in his mind. Is he struggling about raising a goldfish or not? Is he considering which goldfish shall he purchase? When this comes into my mind today, he is right here again in front of the store.

“Sir… If this is your first time to keep a fish, I think this Koi is suitable for you...”

Perhaps my words are out of his expectations, he seems to be a bit surprised for a stranger trying to start a dialogue.

He takes away his cigarette, and breathes deeply along the mist. He says it has been a while to keep a fish again, he wonders whether more troubles will come if owning a goldfish.

“It is easy! Goldfish have a short memory of only three seconds time, no matter good or bad, they would not be able to recall. Perhaps when seeing them freely floating in the water, your worries and troubles will fade along the wave.”

All in a sudden, he is seemingly relieved. He then picked one goldfish among the million. At the end of the day, he left the store with a grin on the face.

💦《没有泪的天空》，一部改编自经典爱情小说的感人话剧，由知名艺人——锺洁希担任女主角，男主角皆为本剧团旗下演员——李安生与林霆坚；同时也集聚了多位资深演员同台演出。

💝男主角林霆坚是《红楼梦》话剧全球万里挑一的贾宝玉，他饰演的贾宝玉一角大受观众的喜爱，演技也备受肯定。李安生则是美籍音乐家兼演员，他在美国得过音乐奖，也为《红楼梦》话剧创作两首歌曲深获好评。此次两位男主角也会为《没有泪的天空》话剧演唱插曲。他们两人都是在大学主修读戏剧及音乐表演系。

💦 “Tearless Sky”, a touching stage play based on a classic romance novel, stars well-known artist Jessie Chung. Symphony Theatre artists John Lee and Terry Lim also star in the play alongside many experienced actors.

💌Lead actor Terry Lim portrayed Jia Baoyu in the stage play “The Dream of Red Mansions” after coming first in a global audition. His portrayal of Jia Baoyu has been praised by the audience, and he is known for his superb acting skills. John Lee is an American musician and actor. He is an award-winning musician and has written two songs for the stage play “The Dream of Red Mansions”, garnering favourable reviews. Two songs written by him will also appear in the stage play “Tearless Sky”. Both actors are performing arts and music majors.

💝Jeffrey Beh, director of “Tearless Sky”, has starred in movies, dramas, short films and music videos. Paul Lee, the assistant director, is a dual citizen who grew up between the U.S. and Taiwan. He is also a character actor and learned the craft of cinematography and directing under a few renowned instructors in the U.S. Director Jeffrey Beh and Assistant Director Paul Lee both majored in performing arts and music, and have directed many dramas, short films and commercials.

🎉Symphony Theatre presents to all theatre lovers a brand-new masterpiece, “Tearless Sky”. It is a fast-paced, hotblooded stage play. Equipped with high-end audio equipment and an LED stage to display spectacular, vivid backdrops created through 3D technology, the audience gets a chance to enjoy an immersive feast of the senses. So far, six performances of “Tearless Sky” have been scheduled. It will premiere on August 28 at Symphony Theatre.

Jessie Chung is an international recording artist and actress based in Australia, currently under the management of Future Entertainment & Music Group. True to her multitalented status, she is also a doctor of medicine in oncology, naturopathic doctor (US), certified nutritional consultant (US), homeopathic doctor, certified iridologist, biotech researcher, accomplished entrepreneur, author, martial arts coach, and philanthropist from Malaysia. Exhibiting a strong presence on TV shows, Jessie has recently been invited to host TV shows in both China and Australia. Although she spends a great deal of time releasing albums and performing on stage, Jessie also enjoys a retreat from the hectic world once in a while to recharge and ponder upon her life. During these quiet times squeezed out of her schedule, she authored Stay Away from Cancer, Stay Away from Diseases, and the Jessie Diary series, informing the world with her medical experiences while also giving them a peek into her soul. She has authored more than ten literary and medical works to date, most of them in English and Chinese, with translations in Malay. Some of Tokyo's best high-end sushi restaurants that have excellent quality at a fair price. Since the reservations and wait for the 3 michelin star Sukiyabashi Jiro Sushi restaurant can be more than months or years, I thought I could give you some alternative restaurants that deliver when it comes to omakase sushi!

This time I was able to try sushi from Sushi Kimura, a michelin 2 star sushi restaurant.
What's different about Kimura’s sushi compared to the other 20 michelin starred sushi restaurants in Tokyo, is that he serves aged fish sushi. More than 90% of the michelin starred sushi restaurants serve edomae sushi which consists of the traditional raw fish.

I was also able to try sushi from Sushi Namba, a small 12 seater sushi shop located in the local suburbs of Tokyo and has run purely by word of mouth for 50 years. (This time I had permission to film and share his work with you here :D)

Having both the chef's prepare the sushi right in front of me, and seeing how concentrated, passionate and serious they were about sushi was truly inspiring.

Common Ground in Konkuk University, an eye-catching large blue building, is Korea’s first pop-up container shopping mall. The place is garnering so much attention that the number of visitors exceeded a million just in 100 days since its opening and it has become the new landmark of the Kondae area. Unique and trendy smaller brands, new designers’ shops, and editorial shops pack the mall, adding to the enthusiasm of youngsters. In addition, it is the venue of diverse events such as exhibitions and performances, thereby playing its role as a cultural space.

If you get hungry while looking around a myriad of shops there, you can go to the Market Terrace, just a few steps up to the third floor. The terrace interestingly features a collection of famous restaurants from various parts of the city, such as Hongdae, Gyeongnidan-gil Road, and Sinsadong Garosu-gil Road. If you are up for more of lighter versions of foods, you can enjoy some snacks at one of the food trucks found on the Market Ground, where exotic gastronomic performance is also seen!

Kondae Taste Street is packed with restaurants serving a vast assortment of foods that are popular in Korea. Dining choices range from all-time favorite Korean dishes, such as samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) and galbi (grilled beef ribs), to exotic Western cuisine. You can choose among a variety of trendy dessert cafés found here. Moreover, many of the restaurants and bars stay open late into the night, so the street remains illuminated until dawn.

Now it’s time for a look around the heartwarming traditional markets hidden in the small alley (golmok means small streets in Korean), instead of the high-end shopping malls. Located about 15 minutes’ walking distance from Kondae University Station are Norunsan Golmok Market and Yeongdonggyo Golmok Market, where you can purchase food as well as diverse inexpensive household items.

Savory snacks sold at reasonable prices lure travelers to try them and before you know, you will find yourself feeling full as you try one snack after another. Visitors are advised to take cash as cards are not always accepted.

凭舞台2012首炮舞台剧
《Do Love》5月激情登场

"爱的系列"舞台剧-《等爱》、《恋爱》和《错爱》在过去两年在剧场掀起"爱的起义"，制作单位凭舞台保持那对"爱"的信仰，在2012年5月3日至6日在吉隆坡Pang­­gung Bandaraya激情上演由4位导演精心炮制的《Do Love》舞台剧！

《Do Love》共由4个短剧组成，并由4位编导针对同一个主题进行创作。他们是讲笑三人组的成员，同时也是剧场资深工作者，近期脍炙人口的作品《末日前的最后一个小时》导演的­­王衍任、曾执导《错爱》之《不可能错过的爱》、近期夺得第十届戏炬奖最佳男主角奖的徐世顺、"爱的系列"御用编导、同时也是第十届戏炬奖最佳原创剧本奖的得主叶伟良，以­及­毕业于马来亚大学戏剧系，同时也曾经参与《等爱》和《错爱》编导的蔡迪伸。

《Do Love》的主题围绕在"床"，故事的发生都与床脱离不了关系，借助"床"带出时下城市人对于爱情的渴望与认知。参与的演员包括电台主持人Jym庄靖艺、Michelle­­小米、范雯秀、张明珠、黄麒恩、林雋峰、梁雅善、刘添运、林敬雯、Jeff刘俊藤、Damien廖珉鸣、王衍任等等。四人不同风格的编导方式，再加上外形亮丽和演技精湛­的­演员们，必定能再次成为城中佳话。
