（中/ENG）【你知道2016年「魚蛋革命」是怎樣的一回事嗎？】
為什麼一串魚蛋這麼重要，要令這麼多的義士背負著高達十年刑期的暴動罪？一串魚蛋背後所盛載的不單單是它的風味，更是香港人的共同回憶——小販文化。政府自2015年開始便對新年小販絕不留憶，他們對小販的打壓更是顯示出這個政權對低下階層的無情管治。
一串魚蛋，代表的是本土文化和價值。如果一個政權連你兒時最愛食的零食也要拿走，政治就是在你的生活無處不在。
“Do you know what happened in 2016 Fishball Uprising?”
Why was a skewered of fishballs so important to Hongkongers at the time of the Uprising while it could cause the protesters ten years of sentencing? It is not only because of its taste, but also because it represents the shared childhood memory of Hongkongers, which is the hawker and street food culture. Since 2015, the Hong Kong government has been very strict on non-licensed hawkers. Their oppression to these hawkers also reflects their cruelty to the lower-class people who were trying to earn some money to sustain their lives during the Lunar New Year.
That said, for us, the fishballs represent the local culture and values of Hong Kong. Imagine a regime is controlling what you are eating and even taking away your favorite childhood food, then politics is essentially everywhere in your life.

原定於2020年1月26日（年初二）下午七時於旺角舉行的「勿忘魚蛋 捍衛本土 紀念集會」，已獲警方發出「禁止公眾集會通知」，禁止任何有關活動的宣傳、召集及集結。香港本土起義上訴失敗，宣佈集會取消，並不對當日任何有關聚集負責。
