Updates: Calling for an end to wild boar and dog fights in West Java
As our partners at Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group host protests outside the Governor of West Java’s offices today calling for urgent action to be taken to stop cruel and dangerous dog and wild boar fighting, members of the House of Representatives have condemned the practice, with Mr. Daniel Johan – Deputy Secretary General of PKB Party – being quoted as saying, “It's a spectacle that's not educational because it's full of cruelty, and is usually associated with gambling. I hope it will be stopped soon".
