新加坡賽道的輪胎使用要點
Singapore: a 5.073-kilometre street circuit with a 61-lap race, totaling 309 kilometres.
The first corner is an extremely demanding left-hander.
Memorial corner
This comes after the longest straight of the lap, where the drivers use KERS to boost their top speed.
The maximum speed is about 300kph.
There is a braking area of 104 metres with a 4G deceleration.
The asphalt road surface destabilizes the car.
The front tyres have the equivalent of 600 kilograms pushing down on them, guaranteeing grip, a sharp turn-in, and precision throughout the corner.
Singapore Sling
In order to cut the corner the drivers use the kerbs. The tyres hit the kerbing at 130kph.
The tyre has to put up with huge demands, filtering and reducing the vertical movements of the car and helping the suspension to absorb the shocks from the track.
There is a short straight of 250kph and then the final two corners, which have an equal radius. On entry to the corner, the front-right tyre has to guarantee the most precision possible in order to maintain the ideal trajectory.
In the middle of the corner the drivers open up the throttle and unleash full power, with the right-rear tyre having to put all that power down onto the track.
