Inspired by the local mangrove trees that grows in coastal Desaru, Johore. As many people know, perhaps the most important role of mangroves is that they protect vulnerable coastlines from wave action because they hold the soil together and prevent coastal erosion. They shield inland areas during storms and minimize damages. In my arwork, you may see some animals as my subjects. They were the Stork-Billed Kingfisher, Brahminy Kite, Crab-Eating Macaque and an otter. They live near and among mangroves area. Without these animals, the eco-system would not be normal and might be damaged. I hope that together we can maintain and conserve mangroves area for a better future.
