💫美國紐澤西州紐華克市與桃園市昨天共同舉辦線上姊妹城市交流協定簽約典禮。紐華克市長拉斯．巴拉卡 (Ras J. Baraka) 與美國在台協會政治組組長裴德禮 (Bradley Parker) 線上與會。巴拉卡市長表示，很榮幸能和同為國際機場樞紐的桃園市締盟成為姊妹市，讓紐華克市在亞洲地區多了一位堅實的朋友。美台共享民主、自由、平等價值，美國在台協會很高興能出席簽約典禮，樂見兩市透過城市交流延續並加深台美各領域互動。
💫The city of Newark, New Jersey and city of Taoyuan cohosted a sister city virtual signing ceremony yesterday. Newark city mayor Ras J. Baraka, a number of local Taiwan representatives, and an AIT representative participated in the virtual ceremony. Baraka talked about how Newark and Taoyuan are both airline hubs, and how Newark is delighted to establish a friendship with a strong and true partner in Asia. It is great to see these two cities establish this partnership as part of the strong ties between the U.S. and Taiwan.
