“Iftar With The Stars 2013”
Syukur Alhamdulillah, This year marks the 5th year that MediaCorp Pte - Ltd Artiste Management Unit is organizing “Iftar with The Stars”, the breaking of fast in the month of Ramadhan. What started out as a small gathering of fans and artiste have now grown to an event that has benefited and enriched so many lives and we are working towards making it bigger and better, enjoyable and definitely more meaningful.
Beneficiaries
As per previous years, we will be inviting 30 kids from Darul Ma’waa to attend this event. Last year, out of the generosity of our sponsors and attendees, our VVIP Kids had a time of their lives, being entertained by the host and artiste and going home with bags full of gifts.
Over and above that, to further get our message across, we have also asked Darul Ma’waa to identify 10 “special” individuals amongst the 30 who will be invited to attend this event. These 10 individuals can be from any background and of any age, must have shown an improvement academically or in any life skills of their choice. The idea is that we would like these individuals to know that their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Also, another good news, we are also inviting 10 needy families from Hong Kah GRC to join us in the joyous event and with that do our part to bring a little joy and cheer into their lives.
Artiste & Personalities
Every year, we have had the support of so many artiste from across all media platforms, Suria, Warna 94.2 and Ria89.7, who paid their own tickets, to attend this event. Not contented with just attending, artiste also went the extra mile serving, entertaining and even giving out little motivational talks to the kids and hopefully inspire them to aim for the best that they can be.
