This little girl, she came to our family as a miracle sent by The Almighty. The very first girl of our family’s 3rd generation. Her parents proudly named her FA.TI.MAH or فَاطِمَة taken from the noble name of the Prophet’s ﷺ daughter. She carries her name so gracefully. Today marks 7 years of her first debut to this world!

Yes. This is a birthday post, and I tried to figure out what I should write about Fatimah because everything about her is remarkable. Her character. Her qualities. Her determination. Her strong spirit. Her hard work and dedication. Her wise words. The list goes on and on. All praise is due to Allah.

If I were to describe my lovely niece, Fatimah, I think I’d need a series of long posts for just an introduction about her, otherwise I wouldn’t do her enough justice! This little girl has taught me a lot. The biggest thing I learned from her is what PURE LOVE looks like! If there’s someone with a heart of gold, I’d say my niece, Fatimah has a heart embedded with brilliant cut diamonds. Trust me, I’m not exaggerating! She’s the girl who always puts others first before herself. All praise is due to Allah.

The second big thing that I learned from her is the way she’s able to pour out her emotions, feelings, and thoughts into poetic words! She is capable of expressing her excitement, anger, joy, or even grief into words. And her choice of words put us in awe! All praise is due to Allah.

My dear little sister Fatimah,
You have grown just a year older, but oh, what a rollercoaster of a year that has been! This year has definitely been the toughest one yet for you, but it’s been a year that has seen you grow and mature tenfold!

We all know that whatever we as a family went through, you took the biggest blow out of us all. But despite that, you were the glue that held us all together, and the idol we looked to who showed such resilience, such strong-willingness that it seemed almost impossible that this tough soul was in this little girl’s body! And yet you never failed to amaze us, not only with your resilience, but your masses of achievements you managed to rack up at the same time as well. Only God knows the feeling of pride I felt when seeing you bring home all those stickers, awards, and certificates for your hard work!

This year and all the experiences, tests and challenges that it has brought along with it have done nothing but make you stronger. You have faced them with your head held high and you have shown us just what a brave little girl you are! As your big brother, I have never been prouder to see you grow, flourish, and blossom into the amazing kind-hearted little girl you are now!

But as much as we have seen you grow, I’ll still see that adorable face of yours, and I’ll still hear that lovely giggle of yours. In my eyes, you will still be that same little baby girl that I held in my arms all those years ago. Yes, another year has passed, and as you turn 7, I can’t tell you enough how proud I am of everything you’ve done this year. I pray that your 7th year of life is your most blessed year yet, filled with countless opportunities and chances for you to shine. I pray that you are rewarded abundantly for all your hard work, kindness and love, and I pray that The Almighty brings you many more blessings to come!

SURPRISE!!! Fatimah is officially 5 years old today! Since the kids are still on their school holidays, we couldn’t resist to wake them up ‪at midnight‬ to surprise Fatimah! Oh boy, it was really hard to keep a secret from her coz it seems like she knows everything that happens around the house. It’s almost like she has a sixth sense - bless her! Happy 5th Birthday, our #MiracleNumber2 ? You are our strength and your brothers are truly blessed to have such a loving sister like you! May God fulfill all of your wishes and make all of your dreams come true!

This priceless moment was captured when we broke the good news to her. Just look at her reaction...for the very first time, she was speechless! She couldn’t believe it, she thought that we were just kidding. She had tears in her eyes when we told her that she had actually won - bless her!
