投稿是一門學問(親自投稿才會上手),每個期刊系統都不一樣,英文修改也是需要時間,所以想太多、不動筆、不動投稿系統,就會陷入寫不出來的瓶頸。假如後面被新工作纏身(派你去當 OSCE 考官或是教學演講),當你看到琳瑯滿目的線上投稿選項,還要準備 check list、cover letter,不僅看到就累,也會導致遲遲無法產出(我就是這種)。
所以我寫 case 是當日完成送英修,三天英修完稿(我都是經濟件,因為我很窮,所以很慢),當天立馬投稿。雖然一次又一次被拒,投稿速度卻是一次比一次快!
|臨床工作忙,寫不出來?
「沒時間寫」其實是因為「自我」受限,課堂中蔡校長說明時間上的運用與安排,「把自己的生活、時間、環境,調整成可以寫出論文」。其中,我覺得最有幫助的就是:朋友婚禮、電動玩具、美劇動漫、網站閒逛,這些都拿掉,就有時間了。
就拿這篇 Small bowel obstruction caused by infant compression during pregnancy 來說,其題材出自我遇到的臨床困境,沒遇過就一邊查 paper,一邊進行「實證醫學」治療,total parenteral nutrition(TPN)小組本來不讓我用 TPN,因為孕婦沒用過。為了解釋孕婦也有人用 TPN,我還寄了 paper 給 TPN 的學姊去說服她們。
在病人懷胎 26 週且無麻醉、清醒的驚險狀況下,操作醫師(我)完成了大腸鏡以及胃鏡。在晨會中提出討論時,對此個案便著手記錄,寫著寫著就投稿了,利用空檔時間完成一篇 paper。由此可見,寫作所需要的時間,真的得要自己找。
|選個小品文練習,別忘了主菜。
其實想告訴大家 case report 真的只是小品文,在資源有限的狀況下,好好分配時間,有 case report 練習作前菜,最後的 original article 才是主菜,套句蔡校長說的「該投資就投資,拚速度」,時間才是最寶貴的!
