Usually, the temperature at the summit of Mount Kinabalu drops around 0°C to 3°C , while the area from Timpohon to Panalaban ranges from 6°C to 16°C , and at the foot of the mountain, Kinabalu park is about 15°C to 26°C.

This video shows porters carrying down an injured climber and other heavy loads on their backs. These porters have been doing this every day for years and we can safely say, they are all well trained - well just look at them strong legs!
Carrying lightweights, they usually take about 3 hours to reach base camp. With heavier weight, the climb will take about 4-5 hours. To compare, average fitness climbers take about 5-6 hours.
