FPGA is used in various applications where high computational power and design flexibility are required. This talk will cover the utilization of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for real-time depth map generation, very high resolution (82.3 MP) 360°x90° omnidirectional multiple camera system, and real-time signal processing for superconducting circuits-based quantum experiments. The audience will gain knowledge about the challenges and possible solutions for the FPGA implementations of stereoscopic depth estimation and quantum signal processing.

2019 has been another fully engaging year: We’ve brought the Sanctuary 2.0 World Tour to 29 new cities, and released 6 independent singles with music videos. We’ve put a little more time into spreading love through the Cardinal Shan Foundation “Live Out Love”, and Huashan Social Welfare Foundation “Love the Elderly” charity movements.

Also very proud to have collaborated as JFJ Productions with KAWS and AllRightsReserved to bring in the #KawsHolidayTaipei installation for the first time.
The new #SMUDGEstore with Miracle Coffee In Shanghai has also been warmly received, thanks to all the friends and family who have supported us all these years. SMG: Still Moving Under Gunfire
More to come, I promise, more to come!

When I was a boy, I’ve always tried to picture what 2020 would be like. I’ve seen it in films, science fiction stories, and games. Flying cars, dystopian cities, time traveling, parallel universes, and a world dependent on artificial intelligence? Today, it seems like we are still a little far from getting close. (or are we?)

2020, I wish for less forest fires, less poverty and pollution, for the world to share more love and less hate. I pray for more peace and less greedy intention, for us to hold on to one another more dearly. I pray that those of us who have lost loved ones, would find comfort and strength in shared memories, and strive on.
Also that we have willpower to overcome never ending obstacles in this unpredictable world.

Well, I never thought I’d be actually part of 2020, still doing what I’m doing.
Never more grateful, never more spurred on!
In fact, in the past 12 months, I’ve been doing a little more than usual planning for this upcoming year, so I tell myself,
“Come what come may,
May or may not like it,
But expect to be seeing a whole new
JJ Lin in 2020!”

2019，是非常充實的一年。
我們帶著「聖所2.0」世界巡迴演唱會，到了29個城市。今年結合6個不同專案發行了6首選新單曲（也拍了MV）。
我們抽出更多的時間，希望透過與像「活出愛」和「愛老人」的公益集團合作，把更多的愛傳遞出去。

今年，也很開心 JFJ Productions 首次開發藝術界的合作，年初的時候把巨大Kaws：Holiday 系列 帶到了台北。
上海 #SMUDGEstore SMGLIFE 新家落成了，加入了綠標 Miracle Coffee 的共同經營，受到大家熱烈支持！
非常感謝多年支持我們的家人與朋友們！
後續，請各位拭目以待！

很小的時候，我經常想像2020會是什麼樣的世界和光景。那個時候從電影、科幻小說、電玩遊戲的模擬，看到了會飛的車子、敵托邦式的場景、穿越時空、平行世界，還有徹底仰賴人工智慧的生活環境... 今時今日的我們，距離小時候的「幻想」，這麼近；那麼遠。

2020年，希望少一些天災人禍，少一些污染、憤恨；多一些關愛與分享，多一些和平與安定；人與人之間可以更加珍惜彼此、和樂相處。生生離別息息不罷休，但願曾失去至親的人，能夠從彼此曾經共享的過程和回憶中得到力量，勇敢面對未來。希望我們都可以以堅定的意志力，克服生命中從不可預知的難關。

能夠在2020年依然做著自己在做的事，擁有現在擁有的一切，無比感恩、無比驅動！過去一年裡，我花了不少時間準備來年的新計畫。我對自己喊話：

是稱心 是願違

A short film by GRIM FILM's newest member, Sidney Chan from WayangTree Productions. The sound of music has an effect on us that not many would realise. Listening to familiar melodies can send us off to a faraway space and time; such as the first time and place we met, spoke, or laughed together.

"Resonance" is an experimental film about conversations through memories and non-linear storytelling. A single conversation takes place across several different locations, parallel to each other, signifying the passage of time and the developing relationship between its two main characters as recalled in memory.

Originally conceived as a simple promotional video for HELP University's FrequenC club's 5th Annual Concert, the project grew to what it is now; shot within 7 days and released just in time to be the concert's opening video on June 4th, 2014. Resonance draws several inspirations from other films; particularly old school Hong Kong dramas and Wong Fu Productions, with Joe Hisaishi's Kikujiro as a point of reference for the theme song (which had been lovingly composed by budding violinist Joshua Lew).

The crew from WayangTree Productions had been a strong supporter of FrequenC, and had collaborated in making short films since 2012.

As the original members had since moved on with their lives and its director Sidney Chan moving on to GRIM FILM, Resonance is WayangTree's final short film, and will remain dormant for an unspecified time.

This film was a race against time and an incredible adventure of chance, new and renewed friendships, and new experiences - it was a first time for the majority of the cast and crew, including the main actors. Every single person had their lasting impact on the development of this film, no matter how big or small. God bless everyone!
