=================================
--------------------------------------------------
1) Get along with
--------------------------------------------------
「〜と仲良くやっています」は「Get along with_____」と表し、「私は妹と仲が良いです」は「I get along with my younger sister.」、「私は彼と仲良くありません」は「I don't get along with him.」、「同僚とは仲がいいですか?」は「Do you get along with your coworkers?」
<例文>
We sometimes get into fights but we get along.
How's your new job? Are you getting along with your coworkers?
I get along with my parents-in-law. We're actually really close.
--------------------------------------------------
2) Get rid of
--------------------------------------------------
例えば、「漫画を処分しました」は「I got rid of my comic books.」、「インスタのアカウントを削除したの?」は「Did you get rid of Instagram?」、「この染みを落とすことができない」は「I can't get rid of this stain.」
get rid ofはその他にも、迷惑な人を「追い出す」や風邪を「治す」、「習慣を直す」といった意味としてもよく使われ、「彼を追い払ってください」は 「Get rid of him.」、「風邪がやっと治りました」は「I finally got rid of my cold.」、「その悪い癖を直さないと」は「You have to get rid of that habit.」
<例文>
I think it's time to get rid of this old couch and get a new one.
I came down with a nasty cold. I can't get rid of it.
What do you do to get rid of stress?
--------------------------------------------------
3) Get around
--------------------------------------------------
例えば、「ロスは車がないと移動するのが難しいです」は「It’s hard to get around LA without a car.」、「電車に乗ってあちこち行った」は「I got around using the train.」
例えば、「ニュースはすぐに広まった」は「The news got around fast.”」、「噂はすぐに広まる」は「Rumors get around quickly.」
例えば、「今日は英語を勉強する予定でしたが、時間がありませんでした」は「I was planning on studying English but I couldn't get around to it.」
<例文>
What's the best way to get around Hokkaido? Can I take the trains to get around or do I need a car?
Word gets around instantly on Twitter.
I finally got around to cleaning out my closet. I got rid of a bunch of old clothes.
--------------------------------------------------
4) Get away (with)
--------------------------------------------------
「ここから離れよう」は「Let's get away from here.」、「私から離れて。あっちに行って」は「Get away from me.」
と言う時は「You won’t get away with this!」、大きな交通事故に遭ったが「彼女は軽傷で済んだ」と言う場合は「She got away with minor injuries.”
<例文>
I chased after the cat but she got away.
Let's get away this weekend and go somewhere.
How did you get away with not paying the NHK fee?
--------------------------------------------------
5) Get over
--------------------------------------------------
逆に、元カノのことを忘れられない時は「I can’t get over my ex-girlfriend.」
例えば、「高所恐怖症を克服しました」は「I got over my fear of heights.」
「風邪が治った」は「I got over a cold.」、「インフルエンザが治った」は「I got over the flu.」
<例文>
It took me years to get over the loss of my dog.
I'm starting to get over my fear of speaking in public.
How long did it take you to get over the flu?
--------------------------------------------------
6) Get off
--------------------------------------------------
例えば、「私はここで降ります」は「I'm getting off here.」、「渋谷駅で降りてください」は「Get off at Shibuya station.」 ちなみに、車から降りる場合はget offではなくget out ofが使われ、「車から降りましょう」は「Let's get out of the car.」
は「What time do you get off work?」、「5時に仕事が終わります」は「I get off work at 5.」 日常会話ではworkを省いてシンプルに、「What time do you get off?」や「I get off at 5.」
<例文>
We're getting off at the next station.
Watch your step when you get out of the car.
I get off work early today. Do you want go Christmas shopping in the afternoon?
--------------------------------------------------
7) Get back
--------------------------------------------------
例えば、「昨日帰ってきた」は「I got back yesterday.」、「仕事に戻らないといけません」は「I need to get back to work.」 Get back from ~"で「〜から帰る・戻る」になり、「昨日、出張から帰ってきた」は「I got back from my business trip yesterday.」 例えば、点検に出した車が明日戻ってくる場合は「I get my car back tomorrow.」
例えば、メールで「ご返信ありがとうございます」は 「Thanks for getting back to me.」と表現することができ、「Thank you for your reply.」 例えば質問に即答できないときは、「I’ll get back to you on that.(その件については折り返し連絡します)」や「I’ll get back to you by next week.(来週までに改めて連絡します)」のように返答するといいでしょう。
「私たちはよりを戻した」は「We got back together.」、「トムとリサはよりを戻した」は「Tom and Lisa got back together.」
<例文>
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
I don't know the exact dates off the top of my head. Let me get back to you on that.
This winter, I want to get back into snowboarding.
--------------------------------------------------
8) Get to
--------------------------------------------------
How do I get to ~?" は「How do I get to the airport?」、「渋谷駅まではどうやって行きますか?」は 「How do I get to Shibuya station?」 How do I get to"の後には行きたい場所を入れるだけでOKです。
AnnoyやBotherと同じ意味合で使われ、例えば「彼にはイライラする」は「He gets to me.」、「この湿気にイライラしてきた」は 「This humid weather is getting to me.」
<例文>
Excuse me, how do I get to the city hall?
We have a lot to do today. Let's get to work.
Don't let little things like that get to you.

In another world, we would be on a night flight towards our family holiday right about now. Our first family holiday of four, a trip we had looked forward to so badly. Boon and I had happily talked about how we wanted to make it really memorable for Tyler and make it one of his core memories growing up, how we wanted to spend a lot of time making meals together, letting the boys crawl and run at the park, and just take a good, slow break. I would be lying if I told you we weren’t disappointed that our trip didn’t happen, and I know we’re not the only ones we had to cancel a holiday. We know some of you who had to cancel an overseas pre-wedding shoot and a wedding that you had to postpone which you had spent months and probably a year dreaming and planning for. Some of you have lost business deals and money along the way, with clients that bailed and demanded for refunds. While some of you just really, really just miss home, family, friends and are feeling lonely. I’m not here for a pity party, because I never believed in one. But I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to feel how you feel right now- disappointed, hurt, and even maybe angry at the situation, at how things have become. All your feelings right now? They’re valid, and they’re real. And the only way to feel better and move forward is to acknowledge that they are real, that you are feeling them, and just allow yourself to grieve over them. Take time to let yourself heal and recover, because it is after you heal that you can rise up and keep going. The best (and probably worst) part of all these? You’re not the only one who’s experiencing this sucky feeling! We all are somewhat affected, somewhat disappointed and somewhat hurt by what’s happening. The happy thing is- that pre-wedding shoot, that wedding, that family holiday, and that next business deal, that next family reunion will never feel the same again. When you get there when all this is over, you will feel such sense of accomplishment and VICTORY, because you have waited and anticipated and you’re finally there. The joy, the excitement, the fulfilment will be doubled, tripled, and I’m excited for the day we all feel that way. Soon enough ♥️

This footage is from 2018 when I went on my dream trip to South-Korea.
A short but very memorable trip to Busan. Ever since I started thinking of planning my dream trip to Korea, I wanted to visit the beach in Busan because I always saw it in Korean dramas and I love water. I was very excited for this trip and I enjoyed every bit of it. The food was good and the views were incredible. I will visit Busan again when I get the chance!
After our Busan trip we went back to Seoul where we will be spending our remaining days in Korea. I have so much more fun footage coming your way soon. Hope you like my Korea vlogs so far and see you around in my next videos!
Until then, stay safe & healthy x Thuvan ?

I'm excited to share my Korea experience and I hope to be able to travel there soon again.
Ps. my hair and fashion style is a mess during this trip. Idk what I was thinking

Part 4 of my Asia memories from 2017/2018. Enjoyed every trip and can't wait to be able to travel again! I'm also really looking forward to finally start editing on my korea vlogs. Which I was actually not planning on putting online because I had a major (like MAJOR) breakout on my nose and I just didn't like seeing that on my footage.. but I've decided to edit it anyway because Korea was my dream destination and still is. Can't wait to have those vlogs up for you! Hope you liked this video and see you in my next video.
Stay safe, stay thriving x Thuvan ?
