Recently I joined a very special event in south Taiwan! During a two day trip in Tainan, I participated in a traditional pilgrimage in Dongshan! This event is very important for the locals around here, who join every year right before the lunar new year. If you haven't heard of this before, please check out my video in the link below!!
During those two days I also had the opportunity to enjoy Guanziling hot springs, to visit Jingliao and visit a local coffee plantation in the mountains.

Récemment j'ai fait un voyage de deux jours dans le sud de Taiwan! J'ai ainsi pu assister a un pelerinage très traditionnel dans la région de Dongshan. Cet évènement est très important pour les locaux, qui participent chaque année juste avant le nouvel an Chinois. Jetez un coup d'oeil a la video dans le lien ci-dessous!
Pendant ces deux jours, j'ai également pu tester les sources d'eaux chaudes de Guanziling, visiter le village de Jingliao, ainsi qu'une plantation de café dans les montagnes.

We spent the whole day at the top of the mountain with the 75 year old Mahadewi who is a Siddi (Indian African). You all wont believe it, but I saw her 6 packs ab.
She is that strong this woman.

But that's not what we are there for. We were there to hear her story as a woman from the Siddi community who has had her land stolen. Not any ordinary land, but a sprawling 5 acres full of healthy plantation left behind by her husband.

The team filmed with her today and we cannot wait to share with you how she was bullied with false contracts to force her out of her home. And how she isnt the only Siddi who has faced it and or is facing it.

This is another episode of #SentuhanHarapan that you have to watch.

Hey guys! So today's video is one of the other most requested videos. I mentioned in one of my videos that I broke out like crazy earlier this year and a lot of you asked me how I cleared my skin. I waited it out for a while just in case my skin break out again. Anyway my skin was so broken out that I was considering going on oral medication. I wanted to try everything I can before I go for medication and what I talked about in the video today are the things that I follow through and it worked for me!

Some people also try to incorporate zinc tablets and Vitamin b6 and multi vit b tablets to help to control acne. I didn't go for that and some people try cod liver fish oil too. I try to eat more food that are rich in zinc like oysters. I try my best to take everything from natural source. I eat at home most of the time, 5-6 days a week so that I know what I put inside my body! I really do believe that what you eat is what you are. Your skin, your body and your wellbeing has a lot to do with what we eat especially if you have sensitive guts. I have a " leaky gut" so I have to make sure I take care of my poor guts!

Former workers of Bukit Jalil estate were not happy with the proposal made by the City Hall in meeting yesterday.

In July 1980, the estate was acquired by the government for the purposes of development. DBKL had even hired the residents - through private contractors - to tap rubber.

Since 1994, however, the rubber trees have made way for such development projects as the ultra-modern Bukit Jalil sports complex and the equally impressive Bukit Jalil Golf Club.

While not against development, the only thing the residents have asked for is reasonable compensation for abandoning the houses that have been their homes for over four decades.

We want our own house. Weve been living here a long time, almost 60 years. We just want our own house, said spokesperson S Thiakarajan, 54

Former workers of Bukit Jalil estate yesterday rejected a fresh proposal by the government to resolve a 30-year relocation plan.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Dr S Subramaniam's latest attempt at resolving their woes hit a snag when the workers refused to the accept the minister's offer.

City Hall acquired the 28-acre estate for development in the 1980s and as compensation, offered between RM6,000 and RM11,000 to each of the 93 families.

There were also offered low-cost flats in nearby Taman Muhibbah worth RM 80,000, at a 40 percent discount.

But after working for more than 50 years in the estate, the workers felt they deserved better and wanted houses instead.

While 51 of them have moved into the flats temporarily, the remaining families have refused to budge.
