天氣熱，溫室裡的植物生長好快啊！最近三不五時就收成許多當成晚餐加菜😋再次感謝在植物係工作的附加價值，謝謝老闆無私分享溫室讓貓兒趁工作空擋玩耍其中，這就先來一盤台灣味的炒地瓜葉(紫＆綠品種)吧。
All of my plants are growing better than I thought, even though it's a very hot summer! I need to say thanks to my boss, who allows me to grow vegetables in his green house. It’s one of Taiwan’s top ten tourist towns as selected by the Tourism Bureau.
今天我要去拜訪的，是宜蘭的礁溪！
Today I’m going to Jiaoxi in Yilan County!

礁溪，是宜蘭最有名的觀光勝地，當你來到這裡，一定會做的事，就是泡溫泉。
Jiaoxi is Yilan’s most famous tourist destinati on. If you come here you should definitely make sure to soak in the town’s famous hot springs.
早在漢人來到宜蘭，開墾的18世紀時，便發現溫泉這得天獨厚的寶藏，到了日治時期，開始興建觀光旅館，從此，溫泉就成了礁溪的代名詞。
Immigrants coming from China to Yilan back in the 18th century were the first to spread word about Jiaoxi’s hot springs, and in the Japanese colonial period the town was developed with hotels for tourists. Ever since then, Jiaoxi has been a byword for hot springs.
這裡是湯圍溝溫泉公園，即使是夏天，還是擠滿了人，當然，我也要來試試...
This is Tangweigou Park. Even in summer, it’s full of bathers. Of course, I’m going in too.
感覺有點像是冬天吃冰淇淋....什麼滋味只有你自己知道！
It feels a little like eating ice cream in winter. Only you yourself really know how it is!
礁溪有非常多樣的泡湯樂趣，你可以選擇跟大家窩在一起，或自己一人享受清幽的環境。
There are plenty of ways to enjoy the hot springs in Jiaoxi. You can choose to soak with others, or bathe by yourself in peaceful solitude.
在泡溫泉的時候，有些規矩和禁忌，像是不能邊泡溫泉、邊吃東西，但是有一個地方，偏偏鼓勵你這樣做。
When bathing in hot springs, one general rule is not to soak and eat at the same time. But there is one place that encourages you to do just that.

礁溪溫泉是台灣少見的平地溫泉，據說在以前，只要隨便往地上挖個洞，溫泉就會源源不絕的湧出來，或許就是從這裡得到靈感，礁溪的農夫，開始種起了溫泉蔬菜。
The hot springs in Jiaoxi are some of the few in Taiwan located on the island’s coastal plains. It used to be said that all you had to do was to dig deep enough, and spring water would come rushing out. Maybe that myth was inspired by Jiaoxi, and the farmers here who have begun to grow hot spring vegetables.
這是台灣一般看到的空心菜，這是礁溪的溫泉空心菜，是不是差很多呢？
This is the water spinach grown in the rest of Taiwan, while this is the water spinach grown in Jiaoxi. It’s quite different, no?
因為礁溪溫泉含有豐富的礦物質，所以種植出來的空心菜，不但生長快速，而且莖粗、葉大，不管用什麼方法來烹煮，端上桌都是一樣的脆綠鮮美。
The hot springs of Jiaoxi are rich in minerals, which help the water spinach here grow faster than normal and gives the plants larger stems and leaves. No matter how you cook it, it’s always a crispy and healthy delight.

來到宜蘭，想挑伴手禮有一個不錯的選擇。
Visitors to Yilan have a good choice when it comes to gifts for friends and family back home.
這個扁扁的東西叫做鴨賞，這裡面，其實是一整隻的鴨子。
This is sugarcane-smoked duck. There’s actually a whole duck inside.
宜蘭地區盛行養鴨，但是多雨潮溼的氣候，不適合用風乾法來保存鴨肉，於是這裡的人想到了，先把鴨肉醃製後，再用甘蔗來煙燻，造就出這風味獨特的鴨賞。
Yilan is a center of duck farming, but the region’s rainy and moist climate isn’t good for air-drying duck meat. So people here came up with a another way of preserving duck, by first curing it and then smoking it with sugarcane, for a special flavor.
好香哦～可是有一點點鹹，配啤酒應該會不錯！
Delicious, it’s a little salty, so it goes great with beer!
鴨賞是宜蘭最有名的特產，也是用來招待外賓的國宴料理，有機會的話，你一定要來嚐一嚐。
Sugarcane-smoked duck is Yilan’s most famous local product, and it’s even been served to guests at national banquets! If you have the chance, you should definitely try some.

Sau đây là những động từ rất dễ gây nhầm lẫn về mặt ngữ nghĩa, chính tả hoặc phát âm. Các em lưu ý nhé.
☀ 1 . To rise : Dâng lên, tự nâng lên, tự tăng lên.
The sun rises early in the summer.
Prices have risen more than 10% this year.
He rose early so that he could play golf before the others.
When oil and water mix, oil rises to the top.
☀ 2. To raise smt/sb: Nâng ai, cái gì lên.
The students raise their hands in class.
OPEC countries have raised the price of oil.
☀ 3.To lie: Nằm, ở, tại.
To lie in: ở tại
To lie down: nằm xuống.
To lie on: nằm trên.
The university lies in the western section of town.
Don't disturb Mary, she has laid down for a rest.
* Lưu ý: Cần phân biệt động từ này với 'to lie' (nói dối) trong mẫu câu 'to lie to sb about smt' (nói dối ai về cái gì):
He is lying to you about the test.
☀ 4. To lay smt: đặt, để cái gì vào vị trí nào đó
To lay smt on: đặt trên
To lay smt in: đặt vào
To lay smt down: đặt xuống.
Don't lay your clothes on the bed.
The enemy soldiers laid down their weapons and surrendered.
* Lưu ý: Thời hiện tại của động từ này rất dễ ngây nhầm lẫn với quá khứ đơn giản của động từ to lie. Cần phải phân biệt bằng ngữ cảnh cụ thể.
☀ 5. To sit: ngồi
To sit in: ngồi tại, ngồi trong.
To sit on: ngồi trên (đã ngồi sẵn).
☀ 6. To set = to put, to lay: đặt, để.
We are going to sit in the fifth row at the opera.
After swimming, she sat on the beach to dty off.
Nobody has sat through as many boring lectures as Petes has.
* Lưu ý: Phát âm hiện tại đơn giản của động từ này rất dễ lẫn với Simple past của to sit.
To set smt: đặt cái gì, bày cái gì, để cái gì
The little girl help her father set the table every night.
The botanist set his plants in the sun so that they would grow.
🐸 Một số các thành ngữ dùng với các động từ trên:
- to set the table for: bầy bàn để.
ex: My mother has set the table for the family dinner.
- to lay off (workers. employees): cho thôi việc, giãn thợ.
ex: The company had to lay off twenty-five employees because of a production slowdown.
- to set (broken bone) in: bó những cái xương gẫy vào.
ex: Dr.Jacobs has set many broken bones in plaster casts.
- to set one's alarm for: Đặt đồng hồ báo thức vào lúc.
ex: John set his alarm for six o'clock.
- to set fire to: làm cháy
ex: While playing with matches, the children set fire to the sofa.
- to raise (animals, plants) for a living: trồng cái gì, nuôi con gì bán để lấy tiền.
ex: That farmer raises chickens for a living.

The idea now if planting potatoes. I planted 1kg the Baron. I'm fun to do with children. Early summer harvest is fun. It is very simple.
