Microsoft ประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการ ว่าขณะนี้คอนโซล Xbox Series X และ S สามารถที่จะเล่นเกมไปพร้อมกับการเปิด Dolby Vision ได้แล้ว เป็นจำนวนกว่า 100 เกม

โดยสำหรับ Dolby Vision ก็คือประเภทของ HDR ที่ได้รับความนิยมและมีให้กับทีวีในรุ่นกลางและรุ่นท็อปหลาย ๆ รุ่น ซึ่งจะมาช่วยให้ได้ภาพที่มีคอนทราสต์ชัดเจนสวยงามขึ้นกว่าเดิม ทั้งฉากที่มีความสว่างและมืด

ทั้งนี้ ทาง Microsoft ก็ไม่ได้ลงรายละเอียดเอาไว้ว่าใน 100 กว่าเกมนี้ประกอบไปด้วยเกมใดบ้าง แต่ก็ยืนยันว่า Dolby Vision จะไปอยู่บนเกม Next-gen หลาย ๆ เกม ทั้งที่มีอยู่แล้ว และกำลังจะมาในอนาคต ซึ่งสามารถที่จะเปิด Dolby Vision คู่กันไปกับฟีเจอร์ DirectX Raytracing, Automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) และโหมด 120FPS ตามแต่ว่าทีวีของผู้ใช้งานจะรองรับอะไรได้บ้าง

นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งข่าวดีสำหรับชาว Xbox ที่จะมีทางเลือกใหม่ ๆ มาช่วยเพิ่มประสบการณ์เล่นเกมให้ดีขึ้นได้กว่าเดิม ซึ่งนอกจากฟีเจอร์นี้แล้ว ในอนาคตเองก็จะเปิดให้ Xbox รองรับ FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) ซึ่งเป็นเทคโนโลยีตัวล่าสุดของ AMD ที่คิดค้นขึ้นเพื่อมาแข่งกับ DLSS ของทาง NVIDIA อีกด้วย โดยก็ต้องติดตามกันต่อไปว่าฟีเจอร์ดังกล่าวจะอัปเดตเข้ามาให้พร้อมใช้ในช่วงใด
