#Goodbye2020 ~ ปีที่ไม่ง่ายเลย เป็นปีที่การเจอกัน การอยู่ร่วมกันตามปกติ กลายเป็นสิ่งที่ยากลำบากมากขึ้น อย่างที่ทุกคนก็คงรู้ แต่ถ้าจะมีการเรียนรู้อะไรสักอย่างที่ผมมองว่ามีค่าในความยากลำบากที่เกิดขึ้น ก็คงเป็นการได้เห็นและรู้สึกจริงๆว่า ต่อให้เทคโนโลยีจะก้าวหน้าไปแค่ไหน ก็ไม่มีทางทดแทน human interaction (การปฏิสัมพันธ์กับเพื่อนมนุษย์ด้วยกัน) ได้เลย สั่งอาหารมากินที่บ้านไม่อร่อยเท่านั่งกินที่ร้าน วีดีโอคอลไม่อบอุ่นเท่าได้นั่งคุยกัน แชทกันไม่มีความสุขเท่าได้หัวเราะด้วยกัน อีโมจิหัวใจไม่เติมเต็มเท่าได้กอดกัน กดไลค์ในโซเชียลไม่ได้รู้สึกดีเท่าการได้ชื่นชม แสดงความยินดี หรือพูดขอบคุณใครสักคนต่อหน้า เทคโนโลยีช่วยให้เราติดต่อกันง่ายขึ้น แต่ก็อาจทำให้เราเผลอลืมคุณค่าของการได้อยู่ร่วมกันจริงๆ บางส่วนไป ปีนี้เป็นปีที่ทำให้ผมได้คิดถึงและ appreciate สิ่งเหล่านี้มากขึ้น และจากนี้ไป ก็อยากจะทำให้ทุกช่วงที่ได้ใช้เวลากับใครสักคนในแต่ละครั้งมีความหมายมากขึ้น อย่างน้อยที่สุด ก็จะพยายามอยู่กับมือถือให้น้อยลง ยิ้มให้คนตรงหน้าบ่อยขึ้น พูดขอบคุณให้ง่ายขึ้น เพราะรู้แล้วว่ามันดีแค่ไหนที่ได้อยู่ใกล้กัน มาเลย 2021 เราพร้อมแล้ว 🙂
Goodbye 2020. It was definitely not an easy year. As we all have experienced, this was the year when close contact with one another became more difficult than ever. Having that mostly stripped away, one of the things I definitely learned is that no matter how advanced our technology gets, it can never replace true physical human interaction. Ordering food online to eat at home can never replace eating out at the restaurant. Video calls can never replace sitting and talking next to each other. Heart emojis can never replace real hugs. Liking a post online can never replace complementing, congratulating, or saying thanks to someone in person. Technology may have helped to make a lot of things easier for us, but along the way, we may have sometimes forgotten the true value of being together. I've come to appreciate others' company more than I used to. And going forward, I hope to be more conscious of how I can contribute more positively to each conversation, each encounter, and each interaction. At the very least, I'll try to put my phone down, smile more often, and say thanks more easily. That should be a good start. Yes, 2021, I'm ready for you. :)
