One of my long-time mentees, Andrei Mincov from Trademark Factory...was an extremely successful lawyer in Russia, and doing very well for himself.
Starting from scratch as a lawyer, protecting his father’s music from being stolen by a radio station in Moscow, Russia and knowing nothing about copyright laws, to becoming one of the top five copyright lawyers in his country.
When he decided to make the move to Canada where he can better practice law, it was as if all of his schooling and degrees were burnt at the stake.
He went from being a successful hotshot in Russia, to being a nobody by in Canada.
His Russian diploma, license, experience, PhD, even his Canadian license after four more years of schooling, all went down the drain.
No one would hire him.
He’s come this far.
But he didn’t stop there.
He came to me with nothing but an idea, I could see something in him.
He asked the bigger questions, which led to his success with Trademark Factory.
So don’t count yourself out of the game before you even gave yourself a chance.
Even I failed 13 businesses before having my first success.
Where you are, where you’ve been, how much you doubt yourself, none of that matters.
I’ve seen success so many times and you are capable of it with the right mechanism and the right mentorship.
I see it all the time with people just like you, whom I have the pleasure to meet around the world.
Your journey is a series of steps outside of your comfort zone, and you can always find another way to win each step of the way.
