One kid has tennis practice. The other kid has football practice. And you have a baby who wants constant attention while you coordinate the other two children’s schedules and logistics. Then, there is the act of preparing dinner, doing homework, and getting everyone ready for bed. Rinse and repeat for the next day. As a full-time mother, you need a great deal of patience and focus to handle all these tasks successfully.
Similarly, entrepreneurship is all about doing multiple things at once. You have sales calls to make, emails to send out, staffs to manage, operation to run, social media profiles to update, etc. And that is just the tip of what you have to do. It is a lot to handle, but it has to be done if you want to build a successful business
💙 You possess multiple skill sets 💙
As a mother, you have to be the cook, teacher, doctor, nurse, driver and friend. You are responsible for the development and well-being of your child, which means that you have to handle all their needs.
When you are building a business, you have to be a marketer, sales person, customer service representative, and the CEO. Similarly, your business requires you to play multiple roles
💙 You are a budgeting guru 💙
You have to house, feed, clothe, and entertain your kids. None of these things are free, so you must make the most out of your budget.
Likewise, most entrepreneurs start their business with their own savings. This means they are on a shoestring budget. When you have to put your money where it counts the most, you cannot afford to splurge on unnecessary costs. It is all about taking care of what will help you now so you can eventually afford a better future.
Motherhood and entrepreneurship go hand-in-hand. You are constantly putting out fires, juggling multiple tasks, and ensuring that your investments are poised for success.
So Moms out there, who still have dreams to be an entrepreneur, don’t wait another day because you are ready for the challenge!
