Sharing a piece of my story here..
Due to stress, i had dandruff before and i did not feel confident wearing black clothing as it made my dandruff really noticeable. I was worrying that others perceive me as unhygienic, I was constantly checking whether there were flakes around my shoulder and whenever someone was noticing it i feel really ashamed.. 🥴
It was indeed very stressful period back then. However even if people commented things that make me feel upset , I will explain to them that my dandruff problem is due to stress and hormonal imbalance and give them understanding that this is a common problem. Telling the truth will somehow relieve my burden and regain back my confidence. Furthermore there's no shame in that, it's a very common problem and there are ways to get it treated.
Let’s stop the judgement, fight the stigma and overcome the negativity so we can all treat the issue without shame.
