First time in South America (6) El Peñón de Guatapé
El Peñol是位在哥倫比亞第二大城麥德林（Medellin）附近、一塊突出地面約200公尺高的花崗岩，非常莫名其妙的挺立在和緩的丘陵地間。由於頂上極佳的視野加上湖光山色，即使得一口氣爬上740個陡峭的階梯，多數遊客還是願意花上18,000COP（5.40USD，以當地物價來說不便宜）來此受罪。
那天我先走了3公里的路來到岩石底下，爬到頂上又下來之後，雖然體力還未耗盡，卻也開始有了偷懶坐車回去的念頭。
「Medellin？」騎三輪摩托車載客的當地人一看我走來馬上開始問。
「不是。是Guatape！多少錢？」
「5,000COP。」
聽到這個數字，我馬上轉頭謝謝再見——事前查過，合理車資應該只有這個的一半或更少。我堅定地把他們扔在一邊，任憑他們喊價就是不妥協，這個方法果然奏效。5分鐘之後，他們跑來找我，開價3,000COP，比預期貴了些但我還是答應了。路上司機與同車的青少年試圖和我雞同鴨講的攀談，於是就有了這段影片。
El Peñol is a landmark rock near Guatape, Colombia. 656ft above its base, it's a natural observatory for tourists. Despite the 740-step stairs and 18,000COP (5.40USD) admission, most tourists still try to make it to the top for the scenic view.
Having walked 2 miles under the sun to reach the base, I became a bit tried after climbing up and down. The motor-tricycle drivers asked for 5,000COP to take me back, but I refused and walked away -- it should only cost half of the price or less. Bargain (which often requires the act of walk-away) is a must-have skill for travel. 5 minutes later, they came back and cut the price to 3,000COP. It was a pleasant ride, and I got this video while talking to the locals on the way.
