「好みではない」や「得意ではない」は英語で？
=================================
「カラオケは好きですか？」「料理をするのは好きですか？」などの質問に対して、「あまり好きではないけど、別に嫌いでも・・・」のような微妙な気持ちを英語で表したい時、どのように言っていますか？「I don't like ◯◯（〜が嫌いだ）」のようにストレート過ぎず、微妙なニュアンスを伝えるのにピッタリの返答の仕方をご紹介します。

1) It's not my thing
→「趣味ではない / 得意ではない」
--------------------------------------------------
この表現は基本的に「得意ではない (苦手)」や「趣味ではない (興味がない)」などの意味として使われ、口語的でカジュアルな言い方になります。嫌いとまでは言わないが、個人的に楽しいとは思わないニュアンスとしてよく使われるフレーズです。
✔「_____ is not my thing」→「◯◯するのは趣味ではない」
✔否定文で使われることが多い。
✔苦手なことを表す時もこのフレーズがよく使われる。
＜例文＞
Karaoke is not my thing.
（カラオケにいくのは趣味じゃないです。）
Running is not my thing.
（ランニングは得意ではありません。）
Cooking is not his thing.
（彼は料理が苦手です。）
Sports is not her thing.
（彼女はスポーツにはあんまり興味ないねん。）

→「好みではない」

紅茶は人によって好みがそれぞれ異なることから由来したフレーズです。上記のフレーズ「Not my thing」と意味と用法はほとんど同じで「好みでない」と訳すことが出来ます。音楽や映画のジャンルなどが「好みでない」と言う時によく使われます。
✔「_____ is not my cup of tea」→「◯◯は好みではありません」
✔否定文で使われることが多いです。
＜例文＞
This music is not my cup of tea.
（この音楽は私の好みじゃないです。）
Video games are not his cup of tea.
（テレビゲームは彼の趣味ではありません。）

For me, many old songs I love that are never out of date, even though they are not popular anymore. I think music from the 70s and 80s are so fascinating. There are many great artists and producers that I admire. To learn their thoughts and production, I decided to cover some songs. The first song, in this EP, I cover is from Michael Franks, in 1980's One Bad Habit Album - "On My Way Home to You" He inspired me so much in singing and writing and also the first vinyl I bought was his The Art of Tea Album.

對我而言， 這三首翻唱的音樂都沒有過期， 當然還有更多陪伴我的音樂也是如此。原本的想法只是學習這些音樂人的創作想法，但接著慢慢的做了不少首。 第一首是翻唱影響我很深的創作者Michael Frank， 在七零年代開始發展偏smooth jazz風格的創作者， 而我第一張買的黑膠就是他的 The Art of Tea. 我這次翻唱的是來自1980年 One Bad Habit 中的 On My Way Home to You.
