@berjayatiomanresort_official recently held the Tioman Island Conservation Day (TICD) 2019 to restore the beauty of the sea and to preserve the splendid sanctuary of the Tioman Island in Malaysia. A total of 120 divers from Malaysia and Singapore together participated in this year’s TICD to unite together for planet Earth in preserving the nature.

“Environmental conservation is an effort that must be taken seriously. While the governments of different countries are employing various means to conserve nature, individuals must also come forward to contribute our bit in this direction.

Divers scoured through the ocean floor to remove garbage, removing COT (Crown of Thorns) and algae on corals as a way to promote reef recovery as algae can cause coral mortality and disease, reduce coral growth, and restrict coral settlement.

Non divers constructed cement modules made from recyclable materials for the Adopt-A-Coral program, and did beach clean-up that collected collected 186kg worth of trash in 2 hours.

TICD 2019 has reflected the true meaning of togetherness and teamwork, fuelled by the passion for the environment. As green-consciousness grows, @berjayatiomanresort_official continues to identify new ways to enhance environmentally-friendly practices and encourage sustainability.

As a team-based event designed to push racers to greater personal distances, you
quickly learn the value and true meaning of having mutual objectives through
teamwork. You also see the connection between teamwork and success and one
drives the other on both a personal level and as a member of something greater
than yourself.��
飓风赛始于 2011 年 8 月。是时，飓风艾琳迫使原定在周日马萨诸塞州埃姆斯伯里的比赛计
划被迫取消。 不过，数以千计躁动的选手，也比不上斯巴达的创始人 Joe De Sena 更具破

The Hurricane Heat started in August of 2011, when Hurricane Irene forced the cancellation
of our Sunday program at Amesbury, Massachusetts. Even with thousands of bummed out
racers, no one was more devastated than our founder, Joe De Sena. So, he gathered 150
athletes and Spartan staffers at 5:30am on Saturday morning, handed them some sandbags,
did a boatload of burpees, and proceeded to spend more than three hours covering less
than four miles. Needless to say, there were some very tired people when we got done.

30 days later, we decided to have a Hurricane Heat at as many events as possible and we've
kept that tradition going ever since.

pinnacle of Spartan — the Agoge. The Hurricane Heat is where you learn
non-traditional problem solving, find endurance under duress, and experience the
power of synergy.

There are 3 type of Hurricane Heat: 4 hours, 12Hours and 24Hours. There are no
timing chips and no bibs. There is no individual competition. Once immersed in the
HH culture, you quickly find your “why” and a renewed sense of purpose for taking
on this challenge. With a gear list in your email inbox, the onus is on you to come
prepared for four hours of intense demanding work with plenty of mental and
physical challenges. Each HH is a unique experience directly related to the
individuality of the venue, as well as the cadre in charge. You will be challenged. As a
team, you will succeed.

Finding P

In Taipei, you can easily find the ‘P’ sign
It used to mean ‘Parking’
But in 2018, it means something different

The best way to overcome adversity is to attach a new meaning to it
So, 'pause' does not mean ‘stop moving forward’, but ‘stop hastily chasing something’
Move on and become purer.

No more political labels
No more contradictory cross-strait policies
No more ostensible beef
No more exorbitant election costs
Without setting an example, Taipeians will undoubtedly be ‘Sky Dragon Landers’

So yes,
The ‘P’ sign stands for ‘Pure’
It represents sheer purity
Making Taipei a city of quality and a brand of love

No politics
No slogans
No short-sightedness
No confrontation

Stepping out of Taipei
Sharing resources with other parts of Taiwan
Uniting with different cities in China
Creating the biggest e-market in Asia
Bringing positive energy to the globe

What kind of mayor do we need in Taipei?
A celebrity-like mayor?
A mayor with the support of a party?
Or a mayor elected without stardom and election resources, a pure mayor?

Don’t allow future mayoral candidates to start pulling strings before taking office
Don’t let teamwork become the mayor’s one-man show
Because a ‘company’ whose power goes to one person only falls apart fairly easily

Taipei is the city with the most resources, which should not be exclusive to Taipeians
Taipei ought to set an example by distributing these resources to the whole country with a global vision

Now, whenever you see the ‘P’ sign
You will be reminded once again

Pure Taipei,
Make Taipeians proud to be part of Taipei
And make people in Taiwan proud of Taipei
