「Hang」
=================================
--------------------------------------------------
1) Hang in (there)
--------------------------------------------------
✔アメリカ人は「How are you?」
<例文>
I know you're tired but hang in there. You're almost done!
Don't give up now! Hang in there!
Work has been pretty stressful but I'm hanging in there.
--------------------------------------------------
2) Hang out
例えば、友達に「今週遊ぼう」と誘うのであれば、「Let's hang out this weekend.」 「昨日、友達と遊びました」を「I played with my friends yesterday.」 子供同士が遊ぶことはplayを使って表現しても構いませんが、大人の場合は「I hung out with my friends yesterday.」
<例文>
Are you free tomorrow night? Let's hang out.
I hung out at the mall today.
I'm hanging out with Jeff tonight. Do you want to come? I think we're going to hang out in Shibuya.
--------------------------------------------------
3) Hang on
✔「Hang on a minute/second」
<例文>
Hang on. I'll be ready in 5 minutes.
Can you hang on a minute?
Hang on to this rope and don't let go.
--------------------------------------------------
4) Hang up
正式には、Hang up the phoneですが、日常会話ではthe phoneを省いてHang upとだけ言うのが一般的です。例えば、「電話を切らないでください」は「Don't hang up (the phone).」
<例文>
I'm going to hang up and call you back.
Sorry. I accidentally hung up the phone.
When I told my wife I was going to go out drinking, she hung up on me.
--------------------------------------------------
5) Hang around
終わったら連絡して」と言うなら「I'm going to hang around this area. Text me when you're done.」
<例文>
I had about an hour to kill so I just hung around the park.
You can hang around here if you want.
I hung around the house all day and watched T.V.
--------------------------------------------------
6) Hangover
<例文>
I'm so hungover. I drank way too much last night.
Peter called in sick. I think he has a hangover.
Does Ukon really prevent hangovers?

LYRICS:
How are you doing?
How have you been?
Sending this text for the fifth time this week
So when can I call you
There’s so much to say
Sending this text cuz I struggle when we are face to face
If you only knew
The love you refuse
Waiting by the phone for you
But you misunderstand
When I make these plans
Tried to please then try to mend
Cuz we shouldn’t even have to run
When did this lose all its fun?
I know these words are not the ones that you want
But you won’t say that we’re done
If you told me what you want
Then we wouldn’t even have to run
How are you feeling?
Are you free in the evening?
I just wanted to see you once outside of my dreams
But I’m guessing you’d rather try this tomorrow
Honestly right now we’re hollow
We’ve been that way now far too long but let’s get this over with
If we only knew
The love we refuse
Tried to please then try to mend
Cuz we shouldn’t even have to run
When did this lose all its fun?
I know these words are not the ones that you want
But you won’t say that we’re done
If you told me what you want
Then we wouldn’t even have to run
Forget you said I’m the one
I’d go away if you say right now we’re done
Do you hate what we’ve become?
We shouldn’t even have to run
