ธุรกิจขายผักอัปลักษณ์ ที่รักษ์โลก “Imperfect Foods” /โดย ลงทุนแมน
รู้หรือไม่ว่าผักและผลไม้ทั่วโลกร้อยละ 30 ที่ถูกผลิตเพื่อนำไปขาย
ในร้านค้าจะถูกทิ้งเพราะมีลักษณะที่ไม่เป็นไปตามมาตรฐาน

คิดเป็นจำนวนมากถึง 9,000 ล้านกิโลกรัมต่อปี
เทียบเท่ากับน้ำหนักของเครื่องบิน 220,000 ลำ

แต่มีอยู่บริษัทหนึ่งที่เห็นเรื่องนี้เป็นโอกาส

ย้อนกลับไปในปี 2011 ช่วงที่คุณ Ben Simon
ผู้ก่อตั้ง Imperfect Foods ยังเป็นนักศึกษา
เขาได้สังเกตว่ามีอาหารจำนวนมหาศาลในโรงอาหารที่ถูกทิ้งไปอย่างน่าเสียดาย
ทั้ง ๆ ที่สามารถนำอาหารที่เหลือนี้ไปสร้างประโยชน์ได้อีกมากมาย

เรื่องดังกล่าวก็ได้ทำให้คุณ Ben Simon และเพื่อน ก่อตั้ง Food Recovery Network หรือองค์กรที่ไม่แสวงหาผลกำไรขึ้นมา

โดยองค์กรมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อนำอาหารที่เหลือไปส่งต่อให้ผู้คนที่อดอยาก ซึ่งก็ได้รับผลตอบรับที่ดี โดยในปีนั้นองค์กรสามารถส่งต่ออาหารได้ถึง 30,000 มื้อ เลยทีเดียว

ต่อมาในปี 2014 คุณ Ben Simon พบเจอข้อมูลสำคัญอีกอย่างหนึ่งว่า ผักและผลไม้ประมาณ 20-30% ของผลผลิตในสหรัฐอเมริกาจะถูกเททิ้งหรือขายในราคาที่ต่ำมาก เนื่องจากรูปลักษณ์ไม่ตรงตามมาตรฐานเท่านั้นเอง

เช่น สีผิดเพี้ยนจากเดิม มีรอยช้ำ หรือขนาดที่เล็กหรือใหญ่จนเกินไป
แม้ว่าลักษณะดังกล่าวนี้จะไม่ได้ส่งผลต่อคุณภาพก็ตาม แต่อาจส่งผลให้ยากต่อการขาย
ทำให้ทางเหล่าร้านค้าต้องปฏิเสธที่จะรับวัตถุดิบเหล่านี้

ผลที่ตามมาคือ เกษตรกรจะต้องสูญเสียรายได้ในส่วนของผลผลิตนี้ไป
ในขณะที่ทรัพยากรที่เกี่ยวข้อง เช่น น้ำ ที่ดิน หรือแรงงาน ก็ถูกใช้ไปอย่างสิ้นเปลือง

คุณ Ben Simon จึงเกิดไอเดียในการสร้างธุรกิจจากวิกฤติครั้งนี้ขึ้นมา
ธุรกิจที่จะสามารถสร้างกำไรและช่วยสังคมทั้งเกษตรกร รวมถึงสิ่งแวดล้อม
นั่นก็คือ “Imperfect Foods” ธุรกิจสมาชิกรายสัปดาห์สำหรับเจ้าผักและผลไม้อัปลักษณ์ นั่นเอง
แล้วโมเดลธุรกิจของบริษัทแห่งนี้เป็นอย่างไร ?

Imperfect Foods เป็นธุรกิจที่ให้บริการจัดส่งผักผลไม้ที่ไม่สมประกอบในราคาถูกแก่ผู้ที่สมัครสมาชิก ซึ่งลูกค้าจะไม่ได้เป็นคนเลือกวัตถุดิบด้วยตัวเอง แต่ทางบริษัทคัดเลือกให้

จากไลฟ์สไตล์ที่วิเคราะห์มาจากข้อมูลส่วนตัวที่ลูกค้าตอบคำถามของบริษัท
หลังจากนั้นทางบริษัทก็จะรวมวัตถุดิบบรรจุลงในกล่อง แล้วจัดส่งเป็นรายสัปดาห์

แม้ว่าสินค้าที่เราได้รับ จะมาจากการคัดเลือกของบริษัท
แต่เราก็สามารถแจ้งกับทางบริษัทได้เช่นกันว่าไม่ต้องการผักผลไม้ชนิดใดบ้าง
และหากสัปดาห์ไหน ลูกค้าบริโภคไม่ทัน ก็สามารถเลื่อนไปส่งภายในสัปดาห์หน้าได้

จริงอยู่ที่ว่า Imperfect Foods เริ่มต้นจากการขายผักผลไม้ที่ไม่มีใครต้องการ
แต่ใน 2 ปีที่ผ่านมา Imperfect Foods ก็ยังได้เพิ่มบริการภายหลังตามมาดังนี้

1. จัดส่ง Plant-based โดยร่วมมือกับบริษัทอื่น เช่น Impossible Foods
2. จัดส่งขนมทานเล่น ที่ใช้วัตถุดิบประเภทเดียวกับ Imperfect Foods
3. จัดส่งเนื้อสัตว์ ที่ได้รับการรับรองว่ามี Animal Welfare หรือสวัสดิภาพของสัตว์

เห็นได้ว่า Imperfect Foods ต้องการสร้าง Supply Chain ที่สนับสนุนการรักษ์โลก

นอกจากโมเดลธุรกิจที่น่าสนใจแล้ว
ยังมีอีกสิ่งหนึ่งที่ทำให้ Imperfect Foods ประสบความสำเร็จ
ก็คือการตลาดนั่นเอง ที่คอยสร้าง Brand Loyalty ตลอดเวลา

โดยการตลาดของ Imperfect Foods จะเน้นสื่อความหมายเชิงประโยชน์ต่อสังคม
เช่น การแจกการ์ดมาพร้อมกับกล่องสินค้า ที่มีข้อความว่าการสนับสนุน Imperfect Foods นั้น
ช่วยให้เกษตรกรมีรายได้มากขึ้น และลดการใช้ทรัพยากร นับว่าเป็นผลดีต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม

ซึ่งก็ไปตรงกับพฤติกรรมของผู้บริโภคในยุคนี้ ที่มีความสนใจในเรื่องสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม
ส่งผลให้ Imperfect Foods มีผู้สมัครสมาชิกเป็นจำนวนถึง 4 แสนครัวเรือน

แล้วผลประกอบการที่ผ่านมาเป็นอย่างไร ?

เนื่องจาก Imperfect Foods ยังเป็นบริษัทจำกัด ทำให้ไม่มีการรายงานตัวเลขผลประกอบการที่ชัดเจน
แต่บริษัทก็ได้บอกว่า ปัจจุบันมีรายได้อยู่ที่ประมาณ 15,000 ล้านบาท

ในเดือนมกราคมที่ผ่านมา ทาง Imperfect Foods เพิ่งได้รับการระดมทุน Series D
เป็นจำนวนเงินราว 3 พันล้านบาท
เพื่อนำไปขยายกำลังการผลิตให้สามารถบริการได้ครอบคลุมทุกพื้นที่ ในขณะที่มูลค่าบริษัทหลังการระดมทุนรอบนี้ ก็ถูกประเมินไว้สูงถึง 2.2 หมื่นล้านบาท เลยทีเดียว

เรื่องราวของ Imperfect Foods ถือเป็นอีกกรณีศึกษาที่น่าสนใจ

เป้าหมายทางธุรกิจของใครหลายคน
อาจจะเริ่มจากคำว่าทำธุรกิจอะไรให้ได้ “กำไร” สูงที่สุด
แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้ว เราไม่จำเป็นต้องตั้งต้นจากจุดนี้เสมอไป

Does the verse above mean that Christian men who mistreat their wives will be disqualified from praying, and that God will ignore their prayers?

Actually no, God remembers our sins no more and He still sees us as righteous when we fail.

However, sinning is self sabotage because it triggers the conscience in your flesh. The conscience is the Law written in your heart, and if you have a habit of sinning, the conscience will keep condemning you and you will find it impossible to pray in faith.

“How can you expect God to bless you when you keep failing Him? You hypocrite, stop sinning first, then you can pray.” Your conscience will accuse you day and night if you allow yourself to sink into sinful habits.
