NETFLIX SẢN XUẤT ANIME DÀI TẬP TOMB RAIDER VÀ SKULL ISLAND

Netflix đang trong quá trình chuyển thể phim dài tập anime cho tựa game huyền thoại Tomb Raider (game ra mắt lần đầu tiên năm 1996 và kể về nữ khảo cổ học Lara Croft đi tìm những kho báu cổ xưa). Được biết, nội dung của series sẽ là sự kiện diễn ra sau bộ ba game reboot với phần cuối là Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018).

Song song với đó, một phim anime khác cũng đang được phát triển là Skull Island – hòn đảo nơi King Kong sinh sống. Bộ phim được đặt vào cùng vũ trụ quái vật của nhà sản xuất Legendary với Godzilla và Kong. Theo đó, bộ phim được mô tả là “một phi đoàn đắm tàu, một hòn đảo đầy quái vật, và một vị vua thống trị tất cả”. Bộ đôi phim dài tập Tomb Raider và Skull Island đều được sản xuất bởi Legendary.

Trước đó, The Witcher - series chuyển thể từ tiểu thuyết cùng tên đã rất thành công trên sóng Netflix. Vậy nên, có lẽ người khổng lồ trong ngành streaming vẫn sẽ tiếp tục xu thế làm phim chuyển thể. Ngoài ra, nhà sản xuất cũng đang phát triển thêm anime Castlevania, Splinter Cell và Assassin’s Creed.

Hiện chưa có thông tin về thời điểm ra mắt hai tựa phim anime Tomb Raider và Skull Island trên sóng Netflix.

物忘れをした時に使える英語表現5パターン（forget以外）

今回は、うっかり忘れや度忘れ、または思い出せそうで思い出せなかったり、細かいことは覚えてないが心当りだけがあるなど、何かを物忘れしてしまったときにアメリカ人がよく口にする口語表現をご紹介します。Forget を使った言い方については既に皆さんご存知かと思うので、ここでは Forget 以外の表現に絞っています。

1) Slip one’s mind
→ 「うっかり忘れる」

折り返しの電話やメールの返事をするのをうっかり忘れてしまった時によく使われるフレーズです。この表現を直訳すると「私の記憶から滑り落ちた」となり、日本語の「うっかり忘れる」に相当します。例えば、友達と食事の約束をしていたのにうっかり忘れてしまった時は「Oh my god! I’m so sorry. It slipped my mind.」と言うことができます。1つ注意したいのが文章の組み立て方です。「I forgot」は忘れた本人が主語になるのに対し、「It slipped my mind」は忘れた物事が主語になります。
　
日常会話では「Oh my god! I’m so sorry. It totally slipped my mind.」のように completely や totally を組み合わせて「完全に忘れてた」「すっかり忘れてた」のニュアンスで表現することもよくあります。
　
＜例文＞
　
Sorry I didn’t text you last night. I was busy with work and It just slipped my mind.
（昨晩はメールしなくてごめん。仕事が忙しくて連絡するのを忘れちゃった。）
　
Oh no, I forgot to buy eggs. It totally slipped my mind.
（やばい、卵を買うのを忘れた。完全にど忘れしちゃったよ。）
　
What was his name again? His name completely slipped my mind.

2) Lose one’s train of thought
→ 「何を言おうとしていたのか忘れる」

会話の最中に何を話していたのかを忘れたことはありませんか？そんな時に英語では「I lost my train of thought」と言います。Trainは「電車」を意味する単語ですが「train of thought」と言うと「思考の回路」や「一連の考え」を意味することになることから、「Lose one’s train of thought」は日本語の「何を言おうとしたか忘れた」や「言いたいことが思い出せない」に相当します。
　
この表現は特に会話をしている最中に気が散ったりして何を言おうとしていたのか忘れてしまうような状況で使われます。例えば、友達と話している最中に仕事場からの電話にでないといけなかったとしましょう。電話を切った後に「何について話してたんだっけ？忘れちゃったよ。」と言いたい場合は「What was I talking about? I lost my train of thought.」のように表現します。
　
＜例文＞
　
Wait, what was I saying? I lost my train of thought.
（ちょっと待って、私、何について話してたんだっけ？忘れちゃったよ。）
　
Her question made me lose my train of thought.
（彼女の質問のせいで、自分が何を話していたのかを忘れてしまったよ。）
　
He always goes off on a tangent and loses his train of thought.
（彼はいつも話が脱線するので、何について話しているのか忘れてしまいます。）

3) Be at the tip of one’s tongue
→ 「喉まで出かかっている」

お店の名前や人の名前など、思い出せそうで思い出せない時ってありますよね？そんな時に日本語では「喉まで出かかっているのに出てこない」のように表現しますが、英語では喉ではなく舌（tongue）を使って「It’s at the tip of my tongue.」と言います。「It’s at the tip of my tongue」を直訳すると「舌の先にある」になることから、人やお店の名前、地名、本や映画のタイトル、曲名など知っているはずのものをど忘れした時によく使われます。
　
例えば、友達と最近一緒に行ったレストランについて話していたとしましょう。「この前、一緒に行ったハンバーガー屋の名前なんだっけ？ほら、駅前にあるやつ。シェーキ、シェーク・・・あー、なんだっけ。喉まで出かかっているのに出てこないよ」と英語で言いたい場合は「What was the name of the hamburger joint we went together the other day? You know, the place right by the station. Shaky, Shake…Ugh. What was it? It’s at the tip of my tongue!」という具合になります。
　
＜例文＞
　
What’s the name of this song? Ugh, It’s at the tip of my tongue.
（この曲の名前なんだっけ？あー、喉まで出かかっているんだけど。）
　
What's that word in English? I just learned it last week. Don’t tell me. I know it. It’s at the tip of my tongue.
（その単語、英語で何ていうんだっけ。先週学んだばっかりだよ。教えないで、知っているから。喉まで出かかっているよ。）
　
The name of that place is at the tip of my tongue but I can’t remember it.
（あの場所の名前、喉まで出かかっているんだけど思い出せない。）

4) Ring a bell
→ 「聞き覚えはある」

この表現は、人やお店の名前、地名や曲名など聞き覚えはあるけど、具体的なことは覚えていないないような状況でよく使われます。一般的に人や場所の名前に心当たりがある時に「聞き覚えがある」や「見覚えがある」の意味として使われます。日本語では「何かにピンとくる」と表現しますが、それと同じように何かに心当たりがあることを「頭の中でベルがなる」と比喩的に表現しています。
　
例えば友達に「Do you know who John Legend is?（ジョン・レジェンドさんって知っていますか？）」と聞かれたとしましょう。「その名前聞いたことあるな。もしかして、ミュジーシャンの人？」と言うのであれば「His name rings a bell. Is he the musician?」となります。もし、聞いたことのない名前であれば「His name doesn’t ring a bell.」と言うこともできます。また「彼の名前は聞き覚えありますか？」と尋ねる時は「Does his name ring a bell?」と表現することもできます。
　
ちなみに、ring a bellの a を the にして「ring the bell」と言うと、単に「鈴を鳴らす」と言葉そのままの意味になってしまうので気をつけましょう。心当たりがある意味として使う場合は必ず「ring a bell」と表現します。
　
＜例文＞
　
That name rings a bell but I can’t remember where I’ve heard it.
（その名前は聞き覚えがありますが、どこで聞いたかは覚えていません。）
　
Jessica? Her name rings a bell but I can’t remember where I met her.
（ジェシカ？名前は聞き覚えあるけど、どこで会ったかは覚えていない。）

5) Have a senior moment
→ 「ど忘れする」

スマホや鍵をどこに置いたか忘れたり、車をどこに停めたか忘れたり、何かをするつもりで部屋に入ってきたけど、その目的を忘れてしまうなど、何かをど忘れをしてしまったことを英語では「I had a senior moment」と表現します。Senior は「高齢者」、moment は「瞬間」を意味することから「have a senior moment」で「高齢者に起こる一時的な物忘れ」となり、ど忘れしたことを冗談ぽく言うユーモラスな言い方としてネイティブの間ではよく使われています。30〜40代の人たちが物忘れをした時に「年をとってきたよ」と冗談まじりで使うことが多く、この表現にネガティブなニュアンスは特にありません。
　
＜例文＞
　
I’m having a senior moment. I can’t remember why I came to the kitchen.
（ど忘れてしている。なんでキッチンに来たのか思い出せない。）
　
I had a senior moment yesterday. I forgot where I parked my car and spent over 30 minutes looking for it.
（昨日、ど忘れしちゃったことがあったんだよね。車をどこに停めたか忘れちゃって、探すのに30分以上かかったよ。）
　
Where did I put my cell phone? I just had it. I’m having a senior moment.

Olla lovely Harmonies ~

Here 's a lil cover I did since we 're all in quarantine stuck at home with nothing better to do ~

This song is such a jam ! So I decided to record a cover ~ I don 't have my blue yeti mic with me which allows real time listening while recording so instead ihad to rely on my tiny smart lav mic (don ' tget me wrong it 's amazing but it doesn 't allow real time listening) which is plugged into my phone, and have the instrumental track played frm my tablet with my earphones plugged in. SO ... A lot of file transferring in between devices happened since I edit on my tablet.....which sucks because it 's old and it lags and I NEED more internal memory space. But that ' s a whole other story.

ANYWAAAAYYY. Thx for reading my random rambles. It ' s just the reality of why I don 't do covers that much. Too much trouble for my lazy ass ?
